Ok,misunderstood then.

But with better defensive protection around him at Juve,i think Cuadrado can do fine at WB here.He doesnt necessarily 'limit' us to one formation.

You would bench Licht for Cuadrado ??

You either play him as a RW or he has no palce in the team if we want to stick to the 3-5-2

How can you consider some 19 year old kid who plays for Cagliari as a starter for Juventus ? Let alone putting Asamoah at LB(which in my opinion would be a good thing to do)

Imo he offers better attacking threat than Lichtsteiner at WB which is what i ideally want to see from wingbacks ,plus this guy can genuinely can take on his man which is Licht's big downside in his attacking game.

Although if i were Conte,i'd obviously fit both(Licht at RB ,Cuadrado at RW) to play a 4-3-3

I rather give the chance to a promising kid, than buy and use a mediocre squad player. Asamoah really isn't a LB, and I don't think Conte would permanently use Asamoah there anyways.

When you realize we don't have much money, the more reasonable you'll be.

You diverted to a completely different argument suddenly something i wasnt even arguing about. Why you raised the issue of money i have no idea.

Listen,i'd rather have Asamoah there who's shown he's very apt defensively instead of some inexperienced kid at LB.

I just don't think Asamoah is a LB nor should he be used as one permanently. Murru is one of Italy's most promising defenders, I rather give him a shot than use a player out of position who's never really proved his worth as a LB as well.

Says the guy that wants Silva and all the other superstars.

I already mention that I highly doubt we'll get Cuadrado.

We will need to do a lot of dealing this summer to go for the 4-3-3. If that is the idea, we are at least 3 players away and ideally 4!

We would have to sell Vucinic, Quag, Bonucci, Isla and maybe Giovinco, if that is an option.

1. We need another LB. Ogbonna, Peluso or Caceres might do, but if we want to improve we would need real competition for Asamoah.

2. Then we need 2 wingers and ,ideally, one more for rotation. The 3rd one is a must if Giovinco is leaving. Maybe Tevez can play wide or cut inside, but we must have at any time at least 4 players capable of putting a shift there.

Doing the math if the great man manages some great sales and gets 40 M euros, we would need at least 30M more for a successful transfer campaign and we could start to look towards Europe. On a brighter side that could mean Berrardi (8-10M for 50%), LB (15-25M) :mark:, Cuadrado 30M and some more!

To the people who are saying Murru isn't good, have you even seen him play? The kid is no Pogba in terms of talent, but he is very good given his age. He is very good defensively, is very smart when it comes to tackles, and knows when to get forward and when to stay back. I don't see how we couldn't integrate him into our team slowly.

Always find these sort of statements about Asamoah amusing.

If Juve had signed someone who was considered a wing back and did as well as Asamoah has done, there would be no debate about the position and people would see Juve as set at left-back/left wing-back for years to come.

But, no. Because he started as a midfielder his ability on the flank will relentlessly be callled into question.

See the same thing in the Aberdeen support with an obsession with 'natural full-backs' because we've frequently played players who are really centre-halves there over recent years. No suggestion that we could actually do much better with someone who is seen as a natural in the position, but that doesn't stop people banging on about it.

Everytime the player makes the mistake in the unfamiliar position than obviously someone will jump on the mistakes. However I think that Asa has improved alot over the two years playing at wb and don't see why he couldn't play as a lb. His problem going forward is that he isn't great when it comes to going 1v2 or 1v1. If we were to play a 4-3-3 per say, he would have the winger so he could overlap their run or he could pass to them.

Saw Murru the other day and was impressed with his defensive abilities. Need to see is attacking skills. Could be a good option on the left of a back 4 in a not so distant future. I think Asa can play there. He doesn't suck defensively. So Quag will probably go to Lazio and we'll look for a winger or attacker that plays wide. Cuadrado, Cerci and Nani are the names mentioned and bring back Berardi.

There's also Ménez and Lamela but those rumours have cooled down.

Are we even linked to Murru?

I don't think I've read anywhere that we were. Just people assuming we'd be because he'd be free.
