Vucinic was a good player, he did a lot for us, but you can't let that affect us moving forward and growing as a team.

Vucinic was no longer in our starting lineup and didn't want to be a bench player. Swapping him for Guarin is good for both parties, Guarin gets to leave that shithole and Vucinic gets his minutes again.

It's also beneficial for Juve because we get that extra midfield strength and a player who's value is not decreasing rapidly because of age.

Great move by Marotta & Co.

And Guarin wants to be a bench player?

I wonder how ambitious Guarin is though. He'll be 5th choice CM with us and probably play just as much as Padoin currently is playing.

He'll be sub for either Vidal or Pogba, while Pirlo and Marchisio will fight for the other spot. I think he'll get enough playing time.

Ever since the summer and when we're heavily linked with Radja our intention was to have 5 mids for 3 spots. Nothing changed now with his arrival regarding the status of the rest of our mids, not counting Padoin, as he's never legitimate option for that spot; neither of them will be sold as a consequence of his arrival.

SKY also predicted that we'll switch to a 4-3-1-2 and use Guarin as an AM.

But who knows really. Conte and management thought that having an extra (good) midfielder, was more important than Vucinic, I'm sure he'll get his minutes someway.

I am curios if Juve wil use that in EL

I would think an alternative version with Pogba playing behind the strikers should be tested

Why didn't we do it with Pogba then?

Edit: Fuck you, Lion.

"Arsenal's hopes of signing Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic have been dashed, as reports in Italy suggest the Montenegro international will join Inter as part of a swap deal for Fredy Guarin this week. That may feel like a bit of a blow for Gunners fans, but in reality, Arsene Wenger could probably have spent the €12m or so necessary to bring him to the Emirates on far more worthwhile targets. talkSPORT looks at the stats that suggest Arsenal didn't need Vucinic anyway...

Vucinic is a curious target for Arsenal. A striker who isn't particularly prolific in front of goal, nor particularly dangerous in the air, nor even the hardest working player around, his selling points are few for a club aspiring to win trophies.

At 30, he isn't going to get any better either, so what exactly was the attraction? In all likelihood, along with his strong link-up play, Arsene Wenger would have been interested in Vucinic's habit of scoring spectacular goals, and more specifically, his ability to shoot from distance."
English media at its finest.
