It's going to happen anyway. If the winger is good enough the switch to 433 could be very probable.
I dont think its worth changing formation for one player unless he's on a much higher level..like Ibra, Ronaldo, Messi's level..we tried it once with Diego (even though we were going through a bad period, so its not rly his fault) and it didn't work even though he was being considered world class at the time.

Lamela's good..good enough to change formation? no

Lamela could adapt to the 3-5-2 I'm sure, playing behind Llorente when Tevez leaves in two years time.

He's still young enough to mold into the type of player you want him to be, his mentality could be the issue but there's such a wealth of experience at Juventus and a coach who manages players like a dream.

I think he'll be good enough for Conte to make a change. Juve obviously won't dispose 352 for good but knowing Conte he wants to have that ability to play both. Variety was one of the biggest strength during his first season here.

Besides Vucinic is 30, Lamela is 22. That's very important too.

You really want to ignore the similarities between our group stage perfomances/situations of last year and this year's?!!
Well imo even though we progressed last year, (except for a coupla games) we were far from convincing and all the issues LiquidPLP mentioned, were apparent back then and remained unchanged this year too. Those need to be fixed in order for us to look imposing and in control of our destiny, instead of struggling against waaay inferior teams, pushing our luck and finding ourselves in do or die situations.
Your last part doesn't apply to last season, for example, which is why I'm not in agreement with what you are saying.

I thought we did very well last year all considered, for our CL return, but seemingly this is all erased now because we messed it up this time around.

Daily Mail - Juve pronta all'offerta estiva per Lamela

    I hope its true
I can make an av of Lamela come true. :D

    Jay,

    Lamela, yay or nay?
Doesn't strike me as a typical Juve player, but he fits the mould if we are continuing to look to build our own champions.

Tactically I can't see any space in our current set up, so it looks like a change which has a knock on effect for other players.

I dont see Lamella coming at all. Where will Tevez play on the right wing? He is mo good to us there and is wasted in all honesty. We would need to sell Tevez imo to finance that and i dont see us selling him as im sure Conte rates him highly.

If we are going to switch to a 4-3-3 then Tevez will most likely leave. This is why i never fancied signing him in the first place, Conte thought the 5-3-2 was the way forward and did not learn his lesson against Bayern and now we are in a dilema.

Vuci for Lamella and €20 million is the minimum i would think Tottenham would want for him. If Man United want Marchisio they can pay £28 million for him and Asamoah can go back to CM.

We don't need to sell tevez to finance anyone when we have an abundant of perfectly good players who can get us the cash we need. in this case Vucinic plus cash is of interest to Spurs. In saying that, Lamela was bought for decent money but hasn't set the world on fire and hasn't been able to make any impact, so I highly doubt Spurs would want to try and even recap what they paid for him. That just wont happen regardless of juve, inter or any other team showing interest.

Agree on marchisio, makes too much sense for me...a bench player who can get us that kind of money which we need would be ideal.

Lamela can fit into a 4-3-3 easily...conte has not used this due to the lack of players to utilise it. he obviously hasn't got any faith in Gio playing on a wing in that formation, his love child pepe has been injured and isla just isn't good enough. Keepin mind vuci was injured for a while as well.

Here is who we are getting this mercato: Nobody

We're running away with the league and are out of the CL while not having any major injuries. And Conte loves his formation and the players he uses for it.

Where will Tevez play in the 4-3-3 if Lamella comes in? Thats why i dont see this happening now because we are walking the league and making a change in formation now could cost us the league.

I think the Marchisio bid is true as well because Tancredi Palmeri said Man United bid for 3 players then Forzaitalianfootball came out with this news of €25 million which is a great price but we can hold United to ransome for more money as they are desperate like Fellaini.

United paid more in Euros for Fellaini and he predictably flopped. Considering his best games involved him playing behind a striker recieving long balls.

30m for marchisio. They are rich and beyond desperate

Michael Bradley to Toronto FC? I would be happy for TFC but .. umm..

    Really?

He could prob be a starter at Inter, Milan, Manchester United or Tottenham so I have noooo idea why he would joined TFC after such success in Europe and with many teams showing interest him him (Tottenham, Valencia and United I have heard)

Anyway nothing official yet. It is just all over twitter at the moment
The 6 million usd per year probably sold it. But yeah pretty disappointing transfer choice for Bradley.

:agree: Maybe if we were still alive in the CL, but since we're not -- no way in hell.

Jeez, Bradley's coming to the MLS? That sucks. I really hope his development doesn't suffer as a result.
It's all about playing time for the WC.
