idk about a trequartista. i'd rather have wingers that can cut inside and have good ball skills. see nedved, mata, iniesta, ribery, ronaldo, reus, robben etc.

they can all be trequartistas but are so much more unpredictable on the wings.

Please explain suns the absolute neccecary qualities of a trequartista fuoriclasse, cause i dont have the energy

- - - Updated - - -

So, first i enter the financial thread, where there is a graveyard moral, people thinking we need to sell Pogby or Arturo. I understood them, and tried to comford them.

Then i come here and see these raging fools listing a 100 million net spend mercato. Oh summer is gonna be fun
the raging fool is trying to say that we need quality wingers which are quite sensible and it is not going to cost 100 million.

ie.

summer in:

berardi back
gabbiadini back (for example)
menez free
di maria (for example) 26m
shaqiri 20m
rodriguez 10m

tot in: 56m

summer out:

giovinco 15m
vucinic 12m
quags 8m
de ceglie 3m
ziegler 3m

tot out: 41m

15m of our own money

First order of business: forget about Nainggolan. We need offence. Get a trequartista.

Mata
Moura
Hernanes
Imo it is not wortj it to play with treq anymore. The only 2 in recent times that were exceptions were kaka, ronaldinho and zidane, but that is because they were very amazing. None of those players, not even mata would be worth building a team around

well 4-3-3 is never going to happen because we have both Tevez and Llorente and both won't play on the wing. Also we have a back 3 that Conte loves and that has brought us a lot of success.

with a 4-3-3 one of tevez or llorente will be dropped.

not a big issue for me. you drop one you consider not suitable for the macth at hand

Attack is the best form of defense.

Get rid of Gio, and one of Quag/Vucinic. If any team makes a huge offer for Bonucci, Chiellini, or Marchisio, we should think about it. Buffon, Licht, Pogba, Vidal, Tevez, and Llorente are the only untouchables for me.

Buy a quality LB, and a quality RWF/LWF. Invest in youth, and get rid of the deadwood. We don't need a huge squad, if 30% of the players are shit.

Tevez needs to go. 15 shots not 1 goal in CL he also hit a dry run in Serie A. Moggi was right he was not the star player who would win us games on his own. Llorente up front on his own is much better with wingers around him.

Next Summer I don't want both Llorente and Tevez on the pitch

Why sacrifice the squad just to play a CL Flop and a far from clinical striker together?

4-2-3-1

Buffon
Licht Barzagli Chiellini Asamoah
Vidal Pogba
Menez Tevez Berardi
New striker

There's a realistic plan for next summer. Get 1 or 2 cheap back up wingers and give Berardi a shot. Sell dead wood and go from there until we have enough funds to buy European caliber players.

Menez should be nothing more than an option in rotation, and Berardi is nowhere near ready. Nani and De Bruyne and you might be onto something.

I'd also keep an eye on Iturbe and Muriel; they are both exiting and dynamic, exactly the type of players we need.

No need for the Cercis and Diamantis of this world. It's not as if we need more players for Serie A.

I personally wouldn't go near a serie A player. Outside of the ones we co-own of course.

Nani could either be really good or infuriating and shit, i'd take him for no more than 10M. Maybe 2-3M bonuses related to CL if need be.

Menez and Nani would be ok for a season or two, until we get enough money to chase the players that we need.

It's always the "next mercato" with us. Next Summer we were supposed to be getting 1 or 2 great players to improve on what we're doing. Now it's rebuilding time. Let's start by improving our depth again. :touched:

although i like what both llorente and tevez are going in serie A i don't trust them on CL territory. therefore i am proposing a 4-3-3 with only one of them

Buffon
Litchsteiner(caceres) Barzagli (Bonucci) Chiellini(Ogbonna) Rodriguez(DC/Peluso)
Vidal Pirlo(asamoah) Pogba (marchisio)
Di Maria(Berardi) Tevez(llorente) Shaqiri(Menez)

The attack of dimaria and shaqiri is similar to the robben and ribery style of partnership and that's why i would buy those 2.

out need to be : vucinic quags giovinco padoin and maybe even sacrifice someone like boakye to fund all of that.

Yeah it does worry me how every Summer we seem to focus on improving depth or the odd player here and there for the 3-5-2. Well, I guess it was worth it to get back on top of Serie A

Our next 'minor rebuild' has to be aimed at buying suitable players for a new system, one that's not so bad in Europe.

Nani and Menez are marotta type of deals and to be fare i am sick of them. i don't want to see any more freebies. it's time that conte steps up and tells marotta straight what player he needs urgently NOW.

It all depends on how much money we allocate ourselves

We either stick to this super-conservative approach and pray to God that we find a World Class attacker for a cheap price (Sadly, this is almost impossible now) or we take out another loan which could be good short-term but probably not great in the long run.

If you want to be competitive, you need to take risks. Otherwise, we have to keep flying coach in Europe, while watching the likes of Barca, Bayern, and Real getting the 1st class seats every year.
