Falcao would probably return bunch of that money through shirt sales, interest and $#@!in' hype.
This. Exactly this. I don't understand why the board won't give Juventus a loan to sign one attacking mid/winger/striker superstar in that 40-60m range. The increase in revenue alone from sales, sponsorship, further progress in CL, etc. would make it more than worthwhile.

We survived a group stage exit yet if we made 40m more in revenue this season there would still be financial experts telling us that extra money is spoken for

    We also sold quite a few players. Immobile, Vucinic, Zaza, Quags, etc. Aside from the wages off the team of a couple of those players, we also brought in some decent money, so it's not like the board would have to give us some ridiculously large loan.
