What about this idea? Lavezzi will cost us around 18 to 20m and he is 29 + his salary is 4m per year. Why don't we try with Pedro? He could be available for 20 to 25m, he is 27 and he gets 2m per season. With him we can play both 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3.

The only downside is his age, but he is a top player; definitely someone who'd inject more pace in our side. Had a wonderful WC, among better argies on the tournament.

And he offers more. We'd finally have someone capable of taking his man on a regular basis. We'd add another dimension to our game, counter attacks; quick, good dribbler, exactly what we need. His finishing is not on the highest level though, but for 15m he'd be a nice buy.

Guys like thiago Silva is what we need, but we will not get him.
To be honest, what im pointing is that we dont need players like bonucci. Who we need and could be in our budget range? i dont know, ill leave that to Marotta.
But i repeat, our defensive line is worrysome.
Unless you can name players who Juve could realistically sign, I don't see the point in your complaint.

Better just get used to the fact that there are so few good central defenders around just now.

Given the current lack of good players in that position, I'd say Juve have actually got themselves a good batch.

No idea why peoples opinions on Lavezzi has nosedived.

Only real flaw is his poor finishing imo, he's skillful, he's quick he's energetic and he can take men on. Pretty much exactly what we need.

All of a sudden he's a poor mans Vucinic, the same Mirko who was completely and utterly finished this year.

I guess we'll disagree cuz I think Lavezzi is not that good a dribbler. He fails more often that not. A player who is simply fast but little else won't take us up another level.

Vucinic towards the end could barely do anything right, meanwhile Lavezzi was PSGs best CL performer along with Ibra and looked very good in the WC final.
I don't remember him standing out in the final, but that's just one game. He was regularly subbed oit for being his usual ineffective self

Let's put it this way, he's better dribbler than anyone we have in our team.

In the final game he was arguably among their best players. Pretty awkward sub by their coach IMHO and many were puzzled by his decision to take him off.

There's no system that I'd want to play that would allow both Tevez and Lavezzi to play anything like as well as they can.

One would always end up being sacrificed somehow.

Tevez, Giovinco and Pogba are better dribblers imo. He just attempts more, and wastes possession more as well
