Get Lavezzi, play 4-3-2-1.

4-2-3-1, 4-4-2, it all freezes out Pirlo. First of all that won't work for us, as we were already lacking creativity. And second, Allegri is not in the position to drop him. He'd commit coaching suicide...

If Paratici & Marotta think he's good enough, who are we to say he isn't? We have a very good track record with CBs even if Ogbonna and Bonucci aren't what we'd call world beaters.
The market for CBs is extremely small 'though and there are very few teams who have the quality at CB we have in Barzagli, Chiellini, Caceres, Ogbonna, Bonucci. Even Barcelona is buying second ranked players like Vermaelen and Mathieu...

Well I think our mgm see him as a replacement for Barzagli, but my question is why spend the money for CB when you have Rugani who is ready to step in. We could take this money and buy players that we really need.

I didn't really see this guy play. Thats's why I asked.
I would rather have Nastasic, that I actually saw playing. Very good prospect.

It is not a fact that Rugani will be ready to step in and he isn't with us this season. So it's quite obvious if you ask me.

I remember seeing people say the same thing about Masi...

I agree with you, but why did we loan Rugani if we need another CB. That is just so typically for Juve, we don't trust enough in our youngsters. Just a few examples:
- Berardi (rather stay with Sassuolo...my ass)
- Rugani (we all know he is ready, but we rather loan him out)
- Immobile (the guy was loaned to smaller clubs and he never got a chance to show his worth. At the end he hate us so much, that he said he will never come to Juve and would rather play for Napoli. Also do you remember Criscito?)

Because you don't want a youngster to sit on your bench. Certainly not one without Serie A experience. He would only be learning from training while he needs game time and game experience. And if he needs to play (not even talking about CL), do you consider a player without any Serie A experience a thuistworthy option for a club like Juve?
Berardi immediately stated after the season he would stay at Sassuolo for another year.
Criscito got his chance, he failed. And Immobile is not even close to Llorente. He would've been an expensive bench option at best.

According to @GrecoJuve he doesn't
The Greek sporting medias talk, days now about him.

Firstly, he will not play against Bilbao for the friendly match, he is not even in the squad for the match.
Two teams are in the game for him. Juventus and Arsenal. Roma only if they sell Benatia.

Arsenal wants him as Vermaelen's replacement and they afford him. Also, they have good relationship with Olympiakos.
Juventus on the other hand, has tried everything. Again, the name of Sorensen as exchange, but any offer to approaching that 12m. Marotta, doesn't want to pay this price.

In conclusion, Manolas will surely be sold. We really want him finally, but nothing more. It seems like we don't want to pay cash and Arsenal makes his option, difficult.

The main question still not answered, how good is he ?

In all fairness Manolas has had some decent showings in the CL AND a World Cup and he's what? 23 or 24.

Meanwhile we have Serie A legend Ogbonna and Leo 'Bonuccin' Bonucci on our team, the latter is sadly a first team player and has done nothing but screw up continually for the past few years.
