Looking at our transfer so far, even though the signing has been an upgrade for the team , we still got a mess to fix considering Lich hasn't sign his contract and we are short of an attacker, for Allegri.
Just for argument sake would it made sense to keep Vucinic back if we knew Allegri was coming, he would be a decent option to play along Tevez behind Llorente.

Actually it is detrimental when you have Pereyra (15M), Morata (20M), Romulo (8M), Rugani (5/8M), Berardi (15M), all together to come to the books from next year on. We are already compromising our budget for the next years.
I really thought the plan was to round up the team with squad players this year, and then next year make a splash.
But we already have made a lot of compromises. We will probably keep this going for the foreseeable future. No top player coming any soon, unless Pogba/Vidal leaves.

Then, we are fucked. Coman is an unknown quantity and inexperienced. Giovinco is unreliable, and Pereyra is a decent option off the bench, and nothing more. Marchisio sucks as an AM or TQ.

We are never going to be in that position if we continue compromising. How can we hope to make a deep run in the CL when other squads are strengthening, and we continue falling behind? It's a vicious circle.
So far we didn't show any intention to sell our best players, simply we are not a selling club. Last winter we rejected reported 70m bid from PSG and that is clear indication of our ambitions.
You can either track all the accruals, our payables for the next season, but that is more complicated, as we would have to go few years back and rummage through reports to find out which of these will expire next season, or easier way is simply to look at our yearly expenditure, incurred costs in full amount, on the market in the last few seasons and draw some conclusions, or make an educated guess. Let's say we have a budget of 60-70m for transfer expenditures, like previous few seasons and so far we have spent 20m on Morata, 1.5m Pereyra, few mils on few others... not more than 30m so far, therefore we would still have around 30m to play with. Players that are currently on loan cannot be considered as a part of this year's budget. Good indication was our willingness to spend 27m on Iturbe.
Important thing that might allow us little more flexibility is that we managed to offload few oldies, as these were pretty heavy in our books. By getting Quag and Mirlo off our books we will decrease expenditure for the next year around 20m, etc...
If we cannot find that game changer this year, if there isn't any opportunity, than it would be wise for us to not accumulate more debt with unnecessary signings, but rather wait for the next year imho.

I can't help but think the BOD is waiting for other debts to be settled or lowered (stadium debt?
) and perhaps the Adidas money to start coming in before we can actually be somewhat similar to pre-2006 in purchasing power.Not that I have a problem with how we are operating now (sure frustrating) but look at Arsenal spending how much on players/wages and winning nothing at all. I do, however, share in your frustrations in landing at least one player we have been trying for now i think going on 3 seasons. I enjoyed our 3 titles, our slip back in CL progress has been frustrating but B, you gotta admit we are well above those in Italy and I think ensuring we can control our dominance in Italy will allow the club to start building for stronger CL ambitions.
We have the best midfield in Europe or close to it I'd say...2 years ago we had the strongest defense in Europe statistically, we have our own stadium that we are trying to pay off quickly it seems and our wages are not out of control. The Board has learned from the rest of Italy's mistakes such as crumbling stadiums and out of control wages (Milan/Inter).

-Maybe we look at cashing in on Llorente after this season banking on him having another great year...that would compensate the Morata deal and Morata's age means he can stick around longer with perhaps more potential.
-Romulo his backup and very solid backup at that. My thoughts would be that he is a much stronger cover than let's say a Padoin, who perhaps we will off load shortly as well.
-Berardi is the young talent we need. BUT who is to say we don't bring him back for the 15m and sell him aboard for 30m?
-Pereyra...are we obligated to buy next season for that sum?

Yup, we were and there were reports about that. Marotta hinted it during the press conference as well. Player is singing a different tune now, once in Roma. Roma accepted to buy only 70% of his contract, while we couldn't reach a final agreement with his agent and the deal collapsed. Our bid was between 25-27m for his full contract. Marotta simply doesn't like co-owns and has voted for abolishment of these recently.
