...but think about this. We have been talking about 4-2-3-1 for a while yes ?

...and we got some exciting winger talents like Berardi or Coman ?

Well, we allways lacked a proper CAM. If you have pastore, we can easely switch to wingers the next season if both break trough

Yeah he played both as LW/RW for PSG actually.

He's best as AM,yeah that's for sure.
Yeah indeed.

Dont get me wrong tho, its not neccecarely bad if a player is "lazy" and doesnt defend (but it usually is)

When playing 4-3-1-2, having the trequartista not do defensive tasks, but allready seek space to counter when we get the ball, is a very dangerous element, IF you have the team that can carry this

Considering we got the big luxury of having Tevez who is a forward with the workrate of two defensive midfielders, and a hardworking team behind that, it would do wonders for us

Great news. We need players capable of covering multiple spots. This mercato is becoming better by each passing hour.
Sorry mate, but at juventus, he would be the ultimate idea for CAM, but pretty bad on the wing.

In modern football, you can carry a central attacking player that isnt defending, but wingers need to track back.

Hence, even Robben and Ronaldo do it in important games

Because the Scuffet thread is locked I'll just it here.

The Atletico-Scuffet deal has been blocked. Everything was settled, but Scuffet's family have blocked the deal. They want the goalkeeper to stay in Italy and wait for a top Serie A club.

Agree.now let's see if we really can get it done.
Actually i'm pretty sure Pastore would gladly come here, but to deal with PSG now after Coman deal.....i don't know.
Let's hope it's possible.

We are too thin though regarding wingers and AMs. And Coman and Berardi are too young. And also we have 5 midfielders (if Allegri sees Asamoah as one) and only 2 will be able to play. And also Tevez? This is quite complicated.

I am starting to like the idea of 4-3-2-1. Evra is good fullback who can cross. Lichtsteiner and Asamoah (he might cover for Evra in emergency situations I guess) return to their best positions. We are set regarding the 3 players in the center. The attacking duo will be the same. If Coman can play as an AM and we trust him (which Allegri already did with SAS), we are 1 transfer away from a ready and well balanced team. And its also Allegri's fav formation.

For some reason I am excited.

can you wrap up the more credible rumors of the moment ?
Pastore seems to be a hot name, so are Candreva, Lamela, Jovetic, Savic, Astori(close to lazio) and Abate should be media BS with just the Allegri association...Nastasic, Pereyra, Romulo...

yeah, i agree with that. When i say transition to 4-2-3-1 i dont mean this season, i mean for a later day

but as it stands we dont have any genuine cam talent for it, and with pastore we have, whilst on the other hand, we have some winger talents out there.

and wingers cost less then cams generally

I think so, they did with Rabiot. Forgot to add him to the list with Pantic and some others that don't come to mind.

I dont know about Coman at all. Haven't seen more than a couple of youtube highlights. However, regarding Berardi, I am not sure he would fit in a 4-2-3-1 as the winger. I would prefer to see him either as a winger on a 4-3-3 or even instead of Tevez in a system with 2 strikers. I think we might fit more.

In any case, Berardi isn't coming until next season as it was confirmed. So, all this is for next season. For now, as I see it, we are 1 AM away from a ready squad for 4-3-1-2 or even 4-3-2-1. And we still have the money from the Iturbe transfer.
