Yeah, it said alot that he came on as just a youngster, and became instantly the focus on the US's approach from then on, was quite impressive modern wingback (guessing winger is his natural position?). He stood out to the point I wondered why he was benched up til then?

RB is actually his natural position. He had been benched because Fabian Johnson had been playing at RB very well, and Yedlin has not very much international experience. But when Johnson got an injury, Yedlin got a chance to show his skill and impressed everyone.
