But we currently are a second rate club. We have a great history bla bla bla but so does Ajax, liverpool and Milan to name a few and two of these are currently third rate clubs. Dortmund and Atletico are second rate clubs too they just have been over-achieving as we were two years ago. Finances matter.

In a few years we can be back as a 1st rate club but we arent one yet.

Financially we are better than all those teams you mentioned. And level of current success, we are winning the league in record breaking fashion for 3 straight years. You can't say winning Serie A and Eredivisie is the same .

"Juventus is starting to plan their future with Antonio Conte now that the coach is coming back to the club. Tomorrow morning the club’s directors will meet with Conte to plan their summer transfer moves. Their initial focus is on the attack and their current target is Morata. The bianconeri are open to a loan deal which is a formula that Real Madrid would do. The two clubs have a “Vecchie Glorie” (former stars) game scheduled for June 2nd, that is when they could discuss the deal further. Tomorrow afternoon Juve’s sporting director Marotta will meet with Udinese, there are numerous players to discuss. One of which is Pereyra, but also Candreva (whom Udinese co owns with Lazio), the bianconeri will also ask for some information on Cuadrado, who is co owned with Fiorentina. Juventus is looking to bolster the roster to improve in Europe."

Pereyra, Candreva, and Morata are definitely not gonna help us in Europe.

For a 21 years old kid, these facts are eye catching. He has the potential to be something special.

His Goal/minute is very respectable. one goal every 78 minutes with conversion rate of 20.5%
He plays for Madrid and Spain. Of course he is going to win a lot of shit. That doesn't mean he is a quality player or has the potential to be something special. Jese is a better player than him.

If he gets the chance to play at those teams, he must have some thing. Or do they hire/call up some bad players just to make them win stuff?

I'm not saying he's the next big thing, but i wouldn't mind him as our back-up for our ST.

The media linking us with Drogba again... according to L'Equipe we offered a 1 year contract... he'll be out of contract in 10 days...

Wouldn't mind him as a backup striker if we lose Quag and Vuci... but won't he ask for immense wages?
