It seems to be hip to call Hummels overrated, but he is a top CB and could play everywhere.

i don´t know if it´s hip and i honestly couldn´t care less but for me it´s quite simple: the number 1 attribute i´m looking for in a cb is that he isn´t making capital errors, and hummels fucked up several times (especially in high profile games).
furthermore his positioning is quite awkward at times.
so yeah... when people (right now!) call him top 3/5 in the world (which is a very common opinion here in germany) they are overrating him.
i never said he was shit. i even named him as one of the first players i would want juve to buy .

There is no chance to get him for a reasonable price.

I may be biased, but I think Lichtsteiner is the best fullback or at least a top 3 fullback in the world. I love him and his passion.

If we were to sell him, I hope its not for Coentrao...

i think i read somewhere that Hummels and Badstuber played DM and AM in Bayern youth teams (not sure which played which position exactly). They were transformed to CB (ballplaying CBs ) later on. That may explain his errors at times..

yeah i know hummels played as a DM. iirc he even starting out as a DM at dortmund and was converted later on.

i doubt it, they have been so used to selling their best players each year they always seem to find adequate replacements. i wouldn't be surprised to see courtois and maybe even torres included in the costa deal who looks set for chelsea

athletico would be stupid to do that. selling their best player and buying a goalkeeper that are using now anyways and buying a dead striker? they would rather give away ciutois and buy like a cheap goalkeeper and keep costa.

Boateng is amazing though, defensively much sounder than Hummels.
