from a realistic POV that's a pretty solid way to degrade the squad. We won't be able to get anyone as good as either one of them for the money they go for. Stop thinking teams will pay 100 million for Pogba. Or over 50 for that matter.
I never said Pogba would go for 100M, he wouldn't go for anywhere close to that. But if he were sold, it would certainly be for a nice chunk of change.

Anyways, like I said I rather keep both of them and pretty much the whole squad that we have. I think we heavily underachieved this season in Europe, I hope next season is better. :xfinger:

Why wouldn't Pogba go for 100m? Someone said he wouldn't even fetch 50 mils? :D What are you on? I want those pills too!

We have two options:
a\Sign a new contract with Pogba, release clause at 100mils.
b\Start a bidding war for him THIS summer as he is still the hottest midfielder on the planet.

Neither of those is a bad choice by itself, but we just have to be VERY calculative. It's basically Marotta outsmarting Mino, hard but not unachievable. Besides, when I say 'outsmarting' it doesn't mean they don't have a lot of common goals, actually just the opposite. If Pogba goes to another club for a lower fee he will get a lower salary/status as well, on the other hand if someone was going mental and offering 70m+ then you can bet he wouldn't hesitate to offer him a huge contract as well.

And this deal alone can make our market, but we have a lot of players to dispose of and a lot of salaries to get off the books, therefore we have the space for new additions.

Quag + Vucinic might bring 10m and get 5m annually off the books.
Giovinco could bring another 7-9m, but his salary is almost nothing, so we might as well keep him, unless a great option jumps out on the market.

Isla - another 5m.
Padoin, Peluso and co could also prove to be a valuable trading commodity. Not for cash, but in swaps with Italian clubs for players we want (Berradi comes to mind).

All in all it could be a great summer. Also, if we were to win the EL that will fill the whole we've created by NOT qualifying for the round of 16 in the CL.

They won't bring any money, they will bring Ranocchia, Candreva/Lulic and couple of millions losses.

Edit: According to ASinfo Fiorentina won't redeem second half of Cuadrado because Udinese demands crazy money. Colombian is also on Juventus and Barcelona radar.

Cuadrado would be fantastic signing if we actually managed to keep all the key players. He's exactly that type of winger Conte would love to have. Even if Udinese ask for big money Juve should go for him. With them you can get just half of his card and this way delay the payment for the other half which should suit the management well.

This rumour comes from LGDS. Udinese demands something like 15m for their part of his card and Fiorentina doesn't have this amount of money, as they paid for their half only 6m.

I see Cuadrado in our team as well, he can play both right winger and right wingback. He is versatile enough to switch sides too, he can dribble and shot on goal with power. He would be amazing singing, and we can give up Isla and send him again to Udinese or Fiorentina, in order to buy Colombian for lesser amount of money and convince these clubs - especially Udinese, to sell him to us. Their attitude will be crucial in this hypothetical deal.

Yeah if marotta can do something like

Udinese half: isla + 7-8m
Fioreinta: 15m

but the overall cost would be 20m+

heres what i expect for the next season. i want us to get Cuadrado and i still have hope and faith we will do it :D, and i also hope we get Teixeira somehow :D:

Buffon/Backup

Barzagli/Caceres Bonucci/Ranocchia Chiellini/Ogbonna

Cuadrado/Lichtsteiner Vidal/Rossi/Padoin Pirlo/Teixeira Pogba/Marchisio Asamoah/Lulic

Llorente/Osvaldo Tevez/Gabbiadini/Giovinco

its also easily transformed into 4-3-3 and with Teixeira you have someone different from Pirlo who plays more upfront so you can also form a 4-2-3-1. a bit unrealistic but its the wishlist and getting Teixeira and Cuadrado is my wish for the summer :D
where is the money

If Udinese demand 15mln for his half then Fiorentina would better sell his half back to them for that sum and win 9mln in the process, since there's no way they will be able to get more than 25mln for him which would mean only 4-5mln profit.

Total cost will be 25 - 30m that's for sure. I'd still go for him. For 15m you have a player that suits Conte's needs perfectly. He's barely injured and plays a lot and suits 352/424/433/4231 very well.

Buying the other half will make him a very expensive player there's no doubt but shifting the cost to next year's budget is what Marotta does all the time that's why I see it as an opportunity.

I know you didn't , it's just others here that say that. And with the amount Pogba would be sold for, I don't think we'd improve the team the way some people think.

And totally agree with the rest.
