Selling a player like Pogba and buying players who would improve our chances in progressing in the cl could balance itself. While we would lose a gem we would be making an amazing profit for whatever price we sell him for. While he may be a very value player to our squad, who says Asamoah couldn't do a good enough job in his position?

Back to the Cl part. If say we sell Pogba, and bring in 2-4 players which would help us transition to a formation well more adapted to the cl, and we reach say the quarter finals or the semi finals, it would improve the growth in our revenue and improve our current situation. I'm not saying that we would have to sell Pogba in order to progress. But for everyone saying that selling Pogba would be detrimental to our team, I wouldn't exactly agree.

So no matter what Agnelli says Pogba is leaving anyway, gotta love this logic.

But anyway if we decide to sell him, I prefer selling to Real Madrid in a deal which would include players such Di Maria, Coentrao and maybe Isco too.

4-2-3-1 / 4-4-2 call it what ever you want.

Buffon

Licht - Barzagli - Chiellni - Coentrao

Vidal - Asamoah

Di Maria - Tevez - Nani

Llorente
I think that is a great line up however, like everyone says I would rather we play a 4-3-3 so we get the most of our midfielders.

Do you see Verratti and Pirlo on the pitch together plausible and efficient?
I honestly can't see it. Not in Italy at least. That's why Pogba is superior to Verratti; He's stronger and better built which means a lot to Conte.

It seems PSG is very interested in Pjanic as well. He's got a release clause set at 35m.

One of the best midfielder of all time and one of the best prospect, of course it could work.. But it may be a bit weak defensively and physically even though Verratti defends better than people think.

I hope they go for Pjanic... cheaper for them and better for us.... we are actually in need of another midfielder so we shouldn't sell one
There's a rumor Pastore+cash for Pjanic.

If Pogba were sold including our summer budget I would want around 3 players.

---------------------------------------Buffon
------------------------------------------------------
-------------Licht----------Barzagli----------Chiellini--------Coentrao
-----------------------------------------------
-------------------------Vidal--------------------Marchisio
--------------------------------------------------------
-------Di Maria/Griezmann--------------Tevez----------------Nani/Menez
----------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------Llorente

That is very possible and if Real Madrid wont sell Di Maria go for someone else.

Force Marchisio to stay as a dm, and Tevez could drop back when needed.

Yeah, that is the biggest downside of this combination. Lack of physical advantage in case we use Pirlo and Verratti together. It would be great to convince Prandelli to check it for us first, so that we can draw any conclusions on this basis :D

A lot of people are placing Di Maria in the RW position, I must admit that I haven't seen that much of him recently, but I always thought of him as a 'traditional' winger, i.e. playing on the wing with his strongest foot rather than cutting in to shoot. Could someone clarify? This is not to say that he can't play RW but always assumed his strongest was LW

Perhaps you are right but I have only ever seen him on the right

You make like him better, but saying Asa is a better lb then coentrao which asa isnt even one nor has he really played there is hilarious. Also if Asa is better than Marchisio at cm, why doesn't conte play him there when Peluso plays as lwb?
Because Peluso sucks donkey balls?

Besides I don't rate Coentrao at all. He hasn't shown anything in ages and he's not good at defending imo. He's better going forward than Asa but in Italy LB has to defend a lot.
Finall Coentrao is MU bound imo. Evra will leave at the end of the season and Moyes will easily drop 20m for him.

Perhaps he has been playing there more often, like I said I haven't seen much of him recently so was just under that impression
