Tbh I wanted this move to happen but putting it into context now with Conte gone and our clubs stability rapidly declining right now, we can't be spending 25M euros on an unproven youngster. Considering they're a bench option I'd rather sign a cheap player or even a freebie at this stage. We're on no position to spend 50M on completely unknown quantities when we don't even know what our new coach will want and how we'll set up

Eto'o is a free agent, I wouldn't mind him as a backup provided his wages aren't astronomical.

Conte seen something in Morata that hardly anybody else did. He was pushing for his transfer big time

Who's to say the new coach would even look at him. Can we really spend half of our budget on a bench striker this season? Depending on what the new coach wants to do, we might have obvious gaping holes in our starting XI.

Not only we cant be assured of that from Morata but we're also willing to splash 18m on him AND with a buyback clause.I hope the deal gets cancelled asap.
