That is a huge problem I have with Juventus' management sometimes. You want to be thrifty and find good deals, but saving 2-3 million and risk blowing up a deal is ridiculous. There are likely other areas where the money can be saved. Perfect example is that joke of a club Milan right now. I can't even stress how poorly run they are. The only way they'll ever be respectable again is if Berlusconi sells. The Valencia situation with Rami over a 4 million dollar transfer is absurd given their revenue. There are other areas to save that cash (I wonder how much Galliani makes or how much Silvio pays himself). For one, sell a player.

I'm a complete supporter of being thrifty and not wasting money, but sometimes you need to know when to spend the money. It is much better to buy a solid asset at a fair price than to buy a crappy asset at a cheap price, especially given general football transfer fee inflation that is ubiquitous in world football right now.
Well said and Berlusconi will never sell

since we have Chiello and Ogbonna, I'd go with a RCB because Barzagli is getting older, scared of his injuries and if we play with 4 at the back I don't trust Bonucci there and Martin I see as a fullback with that formation.

    ex: Mustafi, Manolas...

So our squad at the start of the season will look something like this:

    Gk: Buffon, Storari, Rubinho
    RB: Lichtsteiner, Isla,Romulo?
CB: Barzagli, Chiellini, Bonucci, Caceres ,Ogbonna, Nastasic?
    LB: Evra, Asamoah
CM: Vidal, Marchisio, Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah, Marrone,Pereyra?, Rabiot?
Wingers: Coman, Iturbe, Pereyra?, Giovinco, Pepe
    Forwards: Tevez, Llorente, Morata, Giovinco

The ones I underlined are the ones I think we will sell.

I doubt we will get Nastasic given we have 4 centerbacks unless we were to sell Bonucci, as I believe Ogbonna has more to offer than Bonucci.

I still think we would need another winger even if we got Pereyra, unless Conte plans on using Coman there.

Isla is pretty much on the way out.

Natasic is right footed so he could be a replacement/competition to Barzagli. I can't see us selling BonBon though. Why would we need 5 CBs when switching to 4-man back line?
Well you have to think of it like this, we don't know how much longer Barzagli can play given his recent string of injuries. Assuming he has 2 more years in him, then it would makes sense to bring in a cb now so we can integrate him into the team. Unless we trust Caceres as our starting rcb which I don't

You know what's sad ? A lot of milanista support this dbag
Berlusconi is everything wrong with Italy. Regardless of political orientation, corruption and distraction is toxic. You can run a country more left/socialist, more right/conservative or dead centre and you'll have successful countries if executed properly (Singapore vs. Norway for example), and everyone will have their criticism, but your country is certain to struggle if the politicians are corrupt to the level of Berlusconi or not actually focused on the country (and on his leisure instead). Italy needs to move away from that crap. The whole Seedorf saga for example is incredibly embarrassing for the organization.

Owners to emulate in Serie A are the people who run Juventus, Napoli, and Roma. Inter is still up in the air. These owners are smart in their dealings and have vision.
    Pallotta for example:
“AS Roma is in favor of the absolute renewal of governance, rules, and men who have so far managed the Italian football bringing it to a loss of credibility and interest on the domestic market and even more on the international one. We believe that the solution to these problems should be entrusted to authoritative people who also are indisputably far away from the logic that so far have not produced solutions. “
I really like him, but I'm biased since he's a hedge fund manager. Berlusconi is happy if everything stays the same and he gets to keep having his Bunga Bunga parties.

Tbh I think no CB will come. I think we're getting rid of Isla and Padoin to fund Pereyra and that'd be it. It's just my feeling.

The ebst defender available this summer was Garay tbh. Perfect replacement for Barzagli.
