I think we have a shot because I don't think he'll attract many offers from aboard. I see him staying in Serie A and if we want him we're most likely his future destination, I'm pretty sure we'd give them some young players to minimize the price.
Then again, Torino did pretty well this season, it might be just too difficult to buy him because it's not really likely for them to sell both Cerci and Immobile. And at this point it seems Immobile is already gone.
Frankly, I am afraid that purchase of Cerci will require sacrifice of Immobile, and I would rather avoid this kind of scenario. Cerci is really good Italian player and would add something we lack at the moment - pace and counterattack threat. But I'm not sure if he is worth sacrificing Immobile.
However it enables us to spend more. We don't need Immobile, we have Tevez and Llorente, if we go 4-3-3. One of those will hit the bench and we'll rotate.
Selling Immobile would potentially enable us to sign two wingers.
I do agree that Immobile would only come to play as 3rd choice and if we do change to a 4-3-3 he wouldn't get much playing time but Immobile should come back because what if someone gets injured? We need the back up.
