I'm still cut up over the fact that we sold Matri, but I definitely recognise the fact that it was a great bit of business for our club and that we have had a sensational mercato so far. Upgraded our attack, signed a promising defender, and have sold some "excess" players. Short of perhaps signing a LWB, this has been the best transfer window for us in years. People complaining are just spoilt, ungrateful clowns.

I have a feeling we are done. Marrone is the only player likely to leave from here. I think Quags and Isla are staying too. Those Nani rumours turned out to be bogus.

If we are going to bring someone in, it would have to be a class wide player. Rumors about naingollan seem strange to me - we have too many central mids now surely.

Transfer revenue: 33.250.000 € - Transfer expenditures: 32.100.000 € = +1.150.000 €

Incredible work by Marotta.
It looks that way at first but selling Matri for 11m and considering his value in our books which is around 10m means that we've made only 1m profit. It's not critique to Marotta just an outlook that 33.250.000 € is nowhere near accurate. Same goes for Giaccherini, with his sale we netted 3m. Net spending this summer is still close to 40m euros.

So effectively, Naingollan comes in to replace Marrone? That's one way of looking at the cm situation. This then also means Asamoah is more and more likely to continue in his LwB role at Juve for the seasons ahead unless we sell in the seasons ahead.

I would still love to see us get Kolarov coz I feel it will give the team more balance than the acquisition of Naingollan. We want Kolarov on loans but are likely to buy Naingolan on a co-own or outright. It may just be cheaper to buy Kolarov outright at this point of the mercato.

An LwB now, really sets us up beautifully for the mercatos ahead.
