Letting La Viola swoop for this man uncontested would be stupid beyond all measure. I know many people here disagree with me, but for CM/DCM and CB roles, this guy would be unreal to have on our bench, and leading on the field!! If we did somehow nab De Rossi we would undoubtedly have to loan out Marrone and probably sell one of Padoin or possibly Peluso.

I am 100% against selling Pirlo. Verratti has potential but at his current level he is a huge step down from our Maestro. Deep Lying playmakers are a rare breed these days and we should get veratti if he is offered again but at the moment, the only players that can arguably perform at pirlo's level in his role are close to his age: Alonso and Xavi.
I'd love to see Modric here when real are done with him.

I would think twice about Varane.

At least you would think about it, I find it ridiculous that many are completely closed to selling a WC player in decline for a rising WC player (Varane) or an established WC player that would add many different dimensions to our game.

This is where your boy sits his ass down to then bench.
Ever hear of Tacchinardi? Dude was easily twice the player Claudio is and he sat on the bench but played plenty games, partnered with the likes of Davids, Emerson, Conte. If a player is benched don't mean he's shit or bad, just means that there are more adequate option.
