How did that Ukrainian player Yarmolenko do last season? I remember being impressed with him during the run up to last years Euros. Great physique, good dribbling, good pace and strong shot. This kid worth a gamble?

IMHO one of the main problems of 3-5-2 formation - it's really really hard to be versatile and to have few tactical options without increasing squad to 30 players(i think norm for top team is ~25). With back 4 you can play plenty of formations with nominal fullbacks and wingers. For example bayern who have robben and ribery on the wings can easily put them from 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 and even 4-3-3. we can't make from asa and licht wingers cause they are lacking attacking skills and you can't make asa as a fullback cause he can't defend like a fullback. You got what i mean?
I believe it all depends on how versatile and which characteristic have our players.

I'm just going to put an example adding onlye a very special player on our squad, Marcelo.

3-5-2:

Buffon
Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini
Lichsteiner-Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio-Marcelo
Tévez-Llorente

4-3-3

Buffon
Lichtsteiner-Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini
Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio
Tévez-Llorente-Marcelo

Some of the players wouldn't be playing at the position they excel. But that's just an option with exactly the same starting XI. Now if we wanted to make some changes that's all up to Conte.

One of our strengths is that a quite big amount of players know how to play on different positions. Cáceres, Pepé, Vucinic, Marrone, Giovinco, Marchisio, Chiellini. That makes our squad versatile enough to try different formations. But we have sticked to the 3-5-2 for a reason.

TJ: Madrid want Pirlo. They're willing to offer 10m. All depends on the player's will. He wanted to go there in the past and may consider ending his career with them.

Sportsmediaset: Madrid want Vidal. They're willing to offer 50m euros to Juve. And 8m euros a season to the player. Crazy if true. No way we'll sell.

Hypothetically, if this BS rumour were true, how would you guys spend the money? Naingollan/Gundogan for 18m. Coentrao for 17m. Ibra for 15m (if he reduces wages to 6m plus bonuses).
Madrid can go die

I'd sell Pirlo only if we could get Verratti

I love Pirlo but I wouldn't be against the idea of selling him. He is in decline, we will depends a lot less on him next season, and we'll make a 10mil profit out of nowhere. However I'd love to have a serious discount on any of Marcelo/Varane/Higuain/Ozil (forget Di Maria).

Selling Pirlo even for 10m would be a BIG mistake. He is still an extremely important player and will be for another 2 seasons at least. Even after that, I see him as an important squad player. Not worth it.

Pirlo has been instrumental in our success with our two previous conquest, but he is replaceable. Chiellini and Vidal would be the ONLY players that could be deemed irreplaceable in this team, the rest are replaceable.

I want us to go back with having creative player higher up on the pitch. I love Pirlo, but I really do miss having a reliable creative outlet higher up the pitch. Vucinic has been the best we've had for a while now, and he's underwhelming to say the least.

Tevez? Don't sell the bear skin, before you kill the bear. We'll see what happens with him, but odds are he'll make a killing but I'd sell Tevez 10 times before selling Chiello/Vidal once.

I want Chicharito. Dawg sprinkle your magic semen all over him so we can get him!

We wont go for Veratti now, we have missed the boat.
Even if we manage to agree the transfer fee , we have to manage the wages. Giving him high wage will surely have an impact on Pogba as well especially with Raiola his agent.

I like Obiang or Zieliński , for post Pirlo era. They would complement Pogba well.

to be honest i don't track ukrainian league. it's boring as hell with champion well known before start of the season.
From what i've seen Yarmolenko has some skills but lacks class. imho doesn't worth a gamle at all.
