TJ: Madrid want Pirlo. They're willing to offer 10m. All depends on the player's will. He wanted to go there in the past and may consider ending his career with them.

Sportsmediaset: Madrid want Vidal. They're willing to offer 50m euros to Juve. And 8m euros a season to the player. Crazy if true. No way we'll sell.

Hypothetically, if this BS rumour were true, how would you guys spend the money? Naingollan/Gundogan for 18m. Coentrao for 17m. Ibra for 15m (if he reduces wages to 6m plus bonuses).

Think Beppe should hurry up and get Jovetic before he signs for......
Looks like the number for his new release clause at City. Such a sign for Conte. Come get me.

Bruma is the next big thing.. He's 18 years old!!!! Compare him to Berardi at age 18 too, only. Imagine how he'll improve over this season and the next. Potentially a new Ronaldo in few years time (that's what enthusiastic Sporting fans believes).. Ask any portuguese and they'll name you Bruma their man of the future.

I think we need a versatile fella like Giaccherini that can play SS, AMC and as a winger. Someone explosive that can change a match when it's 1-1 or when we're behind.

Having pace and ball control doesn't mean he's the next Ronaldo. There are other segments to look at. If you mean Brazilian one.
I think he means the Portugese one

If we sold Vidal for that kind of money i would rather us keep Pogba in place of Vidal and just get some back up. Its too hard to replace vidal and i hope we dont sell him

Pace and ball control. The typical portuguese winger-type. Nani/Ronaldo type of player...

"typical portugese", now thats a massive tag... Figo, Quaresma, Nani, Ronaldo...

All of those had that offcourse, but they were defined by outstanding brilliance in terms of flair and dribbeling, and all had a special trait that set them apart

"pace and ball controll" is defining nearly every winger.

So, is he a regular winger, or does he show potential of having the pedigree of the wingers i mentionned above

Technically gifted above the lot.. A player that doesn't come by every other year.

Marotta's basically said we'll be looking at 'market opportunities'.Hasnt ruled out any signings.I think we'll sign that LWB by August 2nd or 3rd week imo.If we manage to sell well, and if Coentrao isnt sold by that time period ,i bet you guys we'll jump in for him.

Juve lining up a 4 mill bid for wakaso mubarak. Espanyol mid who scored 15 goals last season
I saw him against Real Madrid and looked pretty well, lacks a bit of brain tho.

Does anyone else feel that we're going to take Ljajic (maybe in Jan), just to $#@! with Fiorentina and Milan?

Ok not just that, but it has Beppetroll move all over it.
I hope so :xfinger:

i'd sign quintero. but it's too late =)

Seriosly. We now have pretty good starting 11(except our useless 5-3-2 formation). Now is the time for scouts to invest in youth like udinese and porto do it. Don't know how did you feel when we lost veratti to p$g last year, but i was very dissapointed. This year i had a feeling we will lose quintero and we lost him. Doing a brilliant scout job and buying and developing young talents - is the only way i see to stay competitive in europe, cause there are still a lot of natural gas and oil deposits and dumb barca glores and we simply won't be able to compete with those teams on a long enough timeline.

But, having an much less complete, but offensive more capable option on the wing, would give us a nice versatility.
people talk about the 4-3-3, and we can do that with tevez-llorente-vucinic..
IMHO one of the main problems of 3-5-2 formation - it's really really hard to be versatile and to have few tactical options without increasing squad to 30 players(i think norm for top team is ~25). With back 4 you can play plenty of formations with nominal fullbacks and wingers. For example bayern who have robben and ribery on the wings can easily put them from 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 and even 4-3-3. we can't make from asa and licht wingers cause they are lacking attacking skills and you can't make asa as a fullback cause he can't defend like a fullback. You got what i mean?
