Aurelio De Laurentis stated Cavani could go to Juventus just as well as everywhere else - but the buyer had to pay the price. If Juve paid, they'd be just as welcome to get him as Chelski or whoever interested.. This logic apply when dealing with Insigne as well - if they value him at 15m € (or whatever I just took a guess) - they can't refuse it, if we meet their asking price? Napoli are interested in a couple of Juve players as well, just because we're rivals doesn't mean we can't do business that's in the interest of both parties...
Only if we meet buyout clause. He's reluctant to sell him bellow it from what I've read lately. And even if Napoli accepted a lower bids they would prefer to sell him abroad. Strengthening one of their rivals is not wise in any case. As for Insigne he'll get more playing time this year. They are taking one step at a time with him.
The only way we get him from Napoli is if we make an inflated offer which we obviously wont.

- If Llorente was signed for his release clause last summer, 37m, the objective of Beppe signing a 'top player' would already be reached in the eyes of some here. So don't give me that BS, just because he's a bosman doesn't suddenly remove the fact that he is a huge upgrade.
2. If it comes down to no further signings in attack for this summer, we'll have to see what the reasons were. I'd rather not sign anyone than to pay 35m for Higuain, 30m for Jovetic or sign Tevez on a 4 year deal with 7m/year wages after taxes. This is highly implausible, as I'm convinced we're signing Jovetic on favorable terms - but I would definitely rather not sign anyone than to throw too much money at players who just are not worth it.

Im pretty sure he will get more playing time as well. Now that he's impressed with u-21 and so on.. But if they were to sign De Ceglie (rumored interest) or someone else they'd need, I don't think business with Napoli is impossible.
They could get another rated talent in return. We could offer them Marrone and cash? But yeah, Rafa likes to play with a lot of attacking minded players on the field so I expect Insigne to reach minimum 20 caps next season - unless Rafa fucks up with the tactics ofc..

1. So you consider Llorente to be a top player? Not that I advocate the 'he's shit just coz he's free' argument, but if you think an out of form player who has had almost no continuity last season, will adapt to a new league, team and formation on the back of that season and contribute to this team in game changing ways, then sorry to say there is a possibility that you are mistaken. I'm not the one talking BS here. Please stand corrected.

But when the DS and team management identify players of a certain calibre publicly, then they are obligated to the fans and the team to chase after and try and close those players within reason. To walk away because we don't enter bidding wars cannot and should not be an excuse. And if you're going to say we didn't have the money, don't make me come there and lay the smack down on you because we have no business chasing a 30m euro Jovetic, a 35m Higuain and 7m a year Tevez. And quite frankly, of these are our targets, then Beppe can have absolutely no excuse for not signing Tevez on the numbers being bandied about, if they are true. There is NO excuse whatsoever.
*I personally do think however that the great man will deliver. And it would be interesting to see you disagree with him for signing any one of those players at the numbers you mentioned.

Guys we should not judge llorente on this season's performance. he has rarely played. previous seasons he has scored between 15-18 goals which is what we should expect him to replicate. now, you could say that these performances are of an average player or a top player but he will go better than vucinic, quagiarellam, matri and giovico did this season: that's good for us. now we need a creative striker like higuain to support him. let's see what happends.
No, Beppe got this ID. He's going to get it right, I'm convinced. Just too many factors going for us to fuck this up. We've moved well thus far. I wouldn't fault him for not wanting to pay 30m for Jojo or 35m for Hig either. But I would fault him for spending time going after them if that is the case and it happens to be non-negotiable.
To me, the Tevez deal is what we should be prirotizing. It makes good sense and would be a fair value for money investment. And people who think a 32 year old Tevez will not have good resale value are just mistaken. Not that, that's how we need to be approaching the deal anyway.
