We should just meet Cavani's buyout clause. Cuz honestly we might not like to use over 20 million to sign a player but what does it matter? The mgmt says it is not economically feasible to spend 30 million on one player, but how is it economically feasible to buy 4 or 5 shitty players who dont even make it into the starting 11 then selling them for dirt cheap or having them sit on the bench for 4 years and drain us with their contracts?
You think they would have learned from the disaster signings of the past where they tried to save a few million here and there on each deal, but ended up blowing tens of millions on sub par talent. It is always better to go with a sure thing. so if it takes 60 million for a sure thing in Cavani we should do it. anyway if the mgmt was smart at all they would realize buy signing him to a 5 year deal we wont have to waste 15 million on our next shitty panic striker for each of those 5 seasons.
Sell what we can to fund the transfer then take the rest out of the trasfer market for the following seasons. We can promote our youth teamers to fill in the gaps after we sell to make up the numbers. I really dont care if we sold all of our strikers aside from Llorente to fund Cavani cuz at least then we would have potential in attack. We should have done it with Falcao ..
