He's an amazing defender IMO, but also not irreplaceable.

Much worse? Eh, I'd say that's too much. Depends who arrives.
Nobody will arrive close to his level and Juventus will be stuck replacing one of the best defenders in the world (that is comfortably in his prime) and still have the problem of trying to find a great attacker.

I like Subotic and Marquinhos, while also Howdes is tempting. I don't think any of those three would be a bad pick to replace him while we'd have extra cash.

I'm not sure myself I'd ever consider selling him, but some crazy offer might as well change that. Current Barzagli is just as good as Chiellini, not anyone expected that when we bought him.

Subotic would be good and his salary wouldn't be a burden. But BS rumor.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a disrespectful piece of shit that worries more about his haircut than the club for which he plays.
Disrespectful, why?

That's not even true. Couldn't care less for his haircut, he gives his best on the pitch and bangs 50 goals per season. He gives what he's asked to do and he's one of the best at that.

My point being - everything/everyone has a price.

And we're back to the premise - it would cost the same (probably even more in wages) replacing him with an equally good defender.
Not necessarily but probably yes. Why take the risk and destroy one of the best defense in Europe? The new player will take some time to accommodate whereas we are trying only to improve and be real serious competitors in Europe. By selling Chiellini we are taking a step back.
