He also used 4-2-4 extensively at Siena beforehand. I remember all the discussion how he was going to fit Vidal into that formation, so he dropped a striker in favour of a 4-3-3 before switching mid-match vs Inter to a 3-5-2 and then mostly sticking with that, until our defensive injury crisis in Feb '12 when we had Caceres and Vidal/Bonny in the center back positions, at which point he temporarily reverted to a 4-3-3.

What an awesome f*cking game it was though... Licht's opener from Pirlo's first assist, ADP's lofted through ball to Matri, Pepe's strike from ADP's lay off, Vidal's Volley and then Marchisio's dink over the keeper from another Pirlo assist... T'was magic!

I know this sounds almost ridiculous but a part of me thinks we played a better brand of our own game last year compared to this year, last season we looked utterly relentless, always pressing, always fast and mobile, out attackers always breaking forward and pressuring the opponents. I fell that this year we lacked that commitment, drive, resolve, urgency and grinta in comparison to the 2011/12 season.

The way we played on 2011/2012 has to be the best since I'm a Juve fan and really intensified my hopes for that season, which ended up being amazing imo

I really hope that if we don't get Higuaín/Jojo/Tevez we get Muriel. He may not be the biggest of the upgrades atm but it certanly will be exciting to see him developing here and I think that we all agree that the kid gots potential

Like with Quag, it is usually prudent to give such players a 2nd year to prove their worth after a major injury, especially in regards to the knee (for a football player).

Yea, a second bad season for Isla is probably going to kill his market value beyond Juve too. Which means thatnthenonly way to cut our losses would be envelopes, coz Udinese, even though would've made some money on the deal, wouldn't want him back at the salary we can afford to pay him.

Although I'm glad that there are suggestions of a renweal coz the conditions he came under kinda showed it was always going to be a bit of a chance on a player recovering from injury. I expect Isla to do a lot better next season. Wise move if true.
