Plantini had the biggest impact as a player in a tournament (EURO 84)...no player had that impact on a single tournament like he did....,but platini's impact on Juve is not that different from other great players and u haven't put any point to back ur claim. Ronaldinho practically drug Barcelona from footballing obscurity to relevance in only two years.
Zidane 98 or 06? Ronaldo 02? Baggio 94? Maradonna 86? Pele 70? Puskás 54?

Altho Roby practically drug Italy to final on his shoulder, he had a slow start at US 94' mainly due to restrictive tactics of sacchi and other things (mainly towards his confidence as there was a huge pressure on him to perform) to a point he was subbed out against Norway or Mexico (i don't remember) in a crucial group stage match. He had an injury in the semis and was not fully fit for the final, but still had a good game considering...I remember because US' 94 was the first tournament that i ever saw and fell in love with Roby
Maradonna at Mexico 86' had 5 goals and 5 assists....,but Platini had like 9 goals including a hattrick and 1 assist (just googled it)........u be the judge of that

Ronaldo scored as many goals single-handedly in the 02 world cup as Spain did in their 2010 triumph.. I always pinned my colours to Roby's banner, but Ronaldo in his prime was very much un fenomeno (just not il fenomeno vero :D )!

Puskas 54, Baggio 94 and Zidane 06 didn't win the WC :D

The greatest individual performance remains Maradona @ WC 86.

Its widely recognised by analysts that no player ever made THAT much of an impact at clublevel, as platini on juve in 82-85 and at national level with france in 1984.
It was not even close.

you talk of zidane, ronaldo, baggio pele and puskas. Players with a massive team, that were the best of their team (altho garrincha>pele in '70).
Platini played in a great french team, but was SO much better then the rest it was ludicrous. In a time where SO much talent was in the world of football, he stood out so immensely much more then anyone else.

Only maradonna's peformance comes to mind, but not even maradonna was as good as pele was that day.

Lets just look at this : 9 goals, in 5 games, as a midfielder.

decided all 3 groupgames, by scoring the opener, and one of them turning into a hattrick, as a midfielder

scored the deciding goal against portugal, and opened versus spain in the final.

No player, has ever had such brilliant tournament, no one.
