Cant cross, doesnt have the movement of a winger, isnt strong on 1-on-1's. All things I want to see in my LWB. Sometimes we just have no width on that left side.
Basically all the attacking aspects. That's only half of a wing back's job. It's the wing back position, not winger. Otherwise you could play Nani there.

I understand but you do see that we have no consistent attacking threat on our wings?

He's as good as it gets defensively, but hey that's only half his job.

It's hard trying to find a balance. There are specific LWBs out there who we could target, but personally I don't think Asamoah has become a problem in that position.

They're in for a world of butthurt if they're actually considering Marrone as a replacement for Fellaini.
Marrone has some potential in him but he is definitely no fellaini. As far as a small team like Everton can afford, Marrone is probably the best they can lure at the moment. The best young talents dont usually go to everton.

Stupidest thing I read all day (and yes, I read Adonis' and Søren Krarup's frikadelle discussion):

Juventus ready to let Stephan Lichtsteiner join Arsenal to fund Christian Eriksen move
JUVENTUS are ready to sell Stephan Lichtsteiner to Arsenal to fund a move for Liverpool and Tottenham target Christian Eriksen.

Earlier in the summer the Gunners were linked with a £12m bid for the versatile Lichtsteiner, who can also play on the right side of midfield, but no deal was able to be reached.

Arsenal are nevertheless thought to remain in the market for another right-back to compete with Bacary Sagna and Carl Jenkinson and may be ready to rekindle their interest in the 29-year-old.

Arsenal were linked with a move for Malaga right-back Jesus Gamez as part of a swap deal for Nicklas Bendtner, only for the transfer to fall through due to Bendtner's refusal to drop his wage demands.

Reports in Italy suggest that Feyenoord's Daryl Janmaat has been lined up to replace Lichtsteiner, who has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are preparing a £7.5m bid for Dutch international Janmaat.

But any deal for Janmaat appears to be contingent on Lichtsteiner leaving and Juventus hope that Arsenal may be willing to shell out to bring the player to the Emirates.

And in bad news for Liverpool and Tottenham fans, Juventus' juggling is designed to free up funds for a bid for Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen yesterday expressed an interest in joining Tottenham, but according to Tuttosport the Danish international is the Old Lady's sole remaining transfer target this summer.

Eriksen is known to have turned down moves to Russia and has said that money is less of a concern to him than joining one of the top league's in Europe.

Whether that includes Serie A, and a move to Juventus, ahead of a move to the Premier League with Liverpool or Spurs remains to be seen.

It would be hilarious if Juve signed Ansaldi and he was complete shite.
it would be funnier if we signed him and he turned out great!

Asamoah is too good for a role that doesnt suit him. Bench Marchisio and play his as a LCM for al I care. He's too good ffs
Needs a bit of improvement in his crossing, decision making and movements (learning new ways to beat his marker for one) but I can see him improving in that aspect, and his defending as a LWB is first class.
