It's not so much the amount of goals, but more so when we need them. We haven't had great forwards over the past two seasons but still managed to score enough goals in Serie A and share them around with some midfielders and on the odd occasion defenders as well.
But it is the CL that concerns me. After the group games, the pressure, the important finishes and moments all come into play and this is where we need tevez and llorente to step up and prove their worth. I have no doubt once tevez settles in and gets used to Serie A he'll smash it easily, llorente is better than what we have had and with vucinic who knows what we'll see happen upfront.
giovinco, matri, quags...they can do the job in Serie A, can they do it in the CL...quags seems to score important goals here and there but still nothing great.
I remember a time when DP and trez would be upfront, we'd have strikers like zalayeta come on and score winning goals against barca or real Madrid to take us through to the finals. That is what we need after tevez, llorente and vucinic are a head in the pecking order.
