SKY said tonight we're looking for a wingback and we'll go for Diamanti again.

So Isla and Giach out and Zuniga and Diamanti in to end the market for incoming players?
Yes,would be 10/10 mercato!
We'll keep Marrone and Padoin now.
I think we need to offload 1 of them, especcially if Zuniga is coming for the RWB/RB position.
Loan Marrone or sell Padoin.
With these acquisitions thus far and assuming Diamanti arrives as well and assuming a 352 there are a LOT of good players on the bench and many who don't even make the bench (in CL where only 7 subs allowed on the bench). Think about it:

Starting 11: Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah, Tevez, Llorente

Bench: Storari, Ogbonna, Pogba, Diamanti, Giovinco, Vucinic, Quagliarella
Reserves: Rubinho, Caceres, Peluso, Pepe, Padoin

(Assuming Isla and Matri are sold and Marrone loaned out).

So if Zuniga comes and was a starter, one of Asamoah or Diamanti wouldn't even make the bench!

These things could become problems later on.
Line up: Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah, Tevez, Llorente

Bench(7): Storari, Ogbonna, Zuniga, Pogba, Diamanti, Gio/Quag, Vucinic + (5=12 allowed in the league)Quag/Gio, Pepe, Peluso, Caceres, Padoin/Marrone

+Rubinho

24 players squad,or 23 if we'll sell Quag as well.

Reserves(if not sold...):Isla,DC,Marrone/Padoin,Motta,Melo,Matri,Ziegler,Martinez:)sergio:)

I must admit that's hell of a squad!and wow,what a great bench.

One thing I will say is, Conte has sh*t loads of options with that squad - he can play any formation with that now and in each case its world class. If Pirlo is not available (which was always my fear as we rely on him so much), the team can be re-organized into a 4231 with Pogba and Vidal behind Diamanti, Marchisio and Tevez behind Llorente. Of course, there are many permutations.

I am really looking forward to the pre-season to see how Conte intends the team to play tactically.

Yeah, I think Mister wants to have a true shot at the CL final.

I think we're still lacking a bit for that, but we're one of the top 5 sides in Europe imo.
onlyif we get someone as skillfull as jovetic, we stll lack quality and flair option from the bench, vucinic is the only one that can provide that from the bench and he is inconsistent also we don't know if he will still be here and can accept being benchwarmer

So you would like Jojo on the bench?i think he would not.

IMO Vucinic,Ogbonna, Zuniga, Peluso,Caceres, Pogba, Diamanti, Pepe, and Gio/Quag are one hell of a bench.
Most of them can replace the starters very comfortably.(Pogba,Mirko,Zuniga,Ogbonna for sure)

I still think Kolarov is on the agenda though. Is there a possibility we could go for Zuniga AND Kolarov or only one? Because they are on opposite flanks. I don't know how Zuniga would fit the left, even though he's played there when needed.

@Mark

Not being greedy here, but are the likes of Sanchez, Nani, Conetrao, Di Maria possibilities in this mercato or are we looking at Tevez, Llorente, Ogbonna, Diamanti, Zuniga/Kolarov to close proceedings? That still is great. But just in terms of opportunities for eg. Wont Sanchez be wanting out at Barca with Neymar's arrival? Or Nani at acceptable wages since his transfer fee is rumoured to be 10m?

yes but they are not players who can bring us extra edge from the bench, except vucinic and maybe pogba, all others are too much muscle only, zero flair.

if tevez underperforming or worse, we have no one else than vucinic.

Honestly I dont see Nani coming because supposedly Anzhi couldnt even afford the wages he wanted. Also I think that our top priorities at this point are Diamanti, and Zuniga. I dont really see Kolarov part of our mercato but I would still prefer Kolarov over Zuniga even though they play different positions. I dont see Di Maria, Conetrao or Sanchez being a possibility

after Llorente, Tevez, Ogbonna...I can see us go for a LWB and a mid(wide or center). The rest RW, SS/ST would be a bonus.

Yea sure, but what names are your sources divulging? Sanchez possibility or out for sure?!

I think it could be any two of Zuniga/Kolarov, Diamanti/Sanchez/Nani/Bonaventura/DiMaria.
