Jovetic without a doubt. Higuain and Llorente would only work if we had good wingers. Jovetic on the other hand is more creative and can provide chances for Llorente.

He can hold up the ball well and bring others into play but rarely creates chances for himself. But yes you can say he's creative. Different kind of creativity. But I still think that without wingers they wouldn't work. IMO they could both excel in 442.

I'd much prefer Higuain. There's a decent amount of creativity in both midfield and attack already - what we sorely need, and have needed for years, is someone who straight up bangs them in if given the chance.

I certainly think Conte wants a strike force that can be tactically applied in different ways. Llorente, Higuain, Vucinic, Giovinco, Diamanti would be about as wel balanced as you can get.

We won't get both Higuain and Jovetic, we just don't have the money. Of the two, we should try to sign Higuain.

I say, sign Higuain and use the money from the sales of Quag, Matri, Marrone and others to fund the signing of a quality LWB.

Get Higuain and some RWF and go with the 4-3-3, or 4-2-3-1. On the left Vucinic and Giovinco as sub, in the middle Higuain and Llorente and on the right the newly bought RWF.

I love Jovetic and I want him here badly but he's not worth 30m that Fiorentina is asking for right now. On the other hand Higuain for about 25 - 30m at most is a great deal.

I think it's not that much choice of ours between Jojo and Higgy but rather which club lowers their price earlier.

So, "gurus", any chatter about Bonaventura? If he's available at around €6M, I'd be totally down with that - I rate him as a very solid squad player with potential for more.

A Mercato of Llorente (€0M), Higuain (€25M), Diamanti (€6M), Bonaventura (€6M), Ogbonna (€6M + Immobile), Berardi (€4M then loan back) and Peluso (€4M) would be perfect for me. An added bonus of Cronios exploding due to all the mediocre Italians too. Add realising Asamoah and hopefully extending Islas co-ownership, that adds up to roughly €60M.

Should be possible to raise upwards of €30M by getting rid of Quag, Melo, Ziegler, Martinez, Motta, De Cegile, Matri and some of the deadwood out on loan, so that's an outlay of around €30M. Perfectly doable, I reckon.

After todays Fiorentina statements of them not selling Jovetic for a penny less then 30M € I think it's pretty obvious we should go for Higauin. If Higuain could be signed for ~ 25M€ I think he's the better catch. But I agree with the above mentioned posts on creativity. Depending on the formation ofc, a attack of both Llorente and Higuain would not be as productive as an attack including Jovetic and Higuain/Llorente. Perhaps the key is to just close the deal on Higuain and go for another promising creative young player á la Berardi, Vietto etc...

And I would love if we tried out youth players like Eric Lanini in pre season as well..

Did the Berardi thing ever get confirmed?

Regarding Diamanti, I think €6M + Sørensen is a bit steep. Sørensen is at present at the very least a €4-5M player with potential for more. That being said, I can't remember if we have to resolve the co-ownership of Freddy this season. If we do, I can probably see us letting him go, sadly, but in my mind, that means offering less cash than the 6 for Diamanti.

There a few "youngsters" out and about that I want to keep a hold on: Sørensen, Masi, Leali, Gabbiadini, Boakye, Bouy. Those are the only ones I can see a squad future for. The rest can sail away (excluding the Primavera stars here, obv.).
