If Jovetic does arrive, I seriously doubt we will keep both Vucinic and Giovinco. My understanding is that Manchester United are interested in Vucinic for 15-18m Euros. I also understand that they are willing to part ways with Nani for roughly the same amount. That could work for us as they cancel eachother out and it will allow Conte to play with 3 up front.

On Giovinco, I too have been dissapointed. But we are not likely to get a reasonable value for him in this transfer window and we are probably best to keep him on for another season and see how he would fair as a left wide attacker in a 433.

I think Ogbonna would be a good buy for the rumored EU10-12m.

If the mercato was:

IN:

Jovetic - 20m cash + Quagliarella
Nani - Swap for Vucinic (similar valuation both ways)
Ogbonna - 10-12m cash
Boakye - back from loan with Sassuolo

Out (aside from Quags and Vucinic):
Melo ~4m
De Ceglie ~3m
Our half of Isla (~6m)

Total Net Spend: Just under 20m

Attacking players: Nani, Jovetic, Llorente, Giovinco, Matri, Boakye

If we really wanted to increase the budget, then Get Higuain for 25m and sell Matri for 10m so the Net Spend goes to 35m

So we could then revert to a 433 (as an alternative to 352):

----------------------Buffon--------------------------

Lichsteiner----Barzagli----Chiellini/(Bonucci)----Ogbonna

-----------Vidal-----Pirlo------Pogba/(Marchisio)-------

---------Nani/Pepe-------------Jovetic/Giovinco-------
--------------------Llorente/Matri----------------------

He's not bad there though.

Welcome to the Tuz @JuveGus

All I will say is we need a new SS (Jovetic) more than Higuain, Vuci Gio are simply not good enough.

though don't think Higuain & Jovetic are the right players for that role, in attack yes but they will probably be a liability for defense

Mate, if those players arrived, there is no way you would see Llorente, Higuain and Jovetic in the same line up - especially with a 3 man defense.

I see the team more like this:

Buffon (Nicola Leali)

Barzagli (Caceres) -------- Bonucci-------- Chiellini (ogbonna)

Lichtsteiner (Giaccherini) --- Vidal (Marrone) ---pirlo----marchisio (pogba)--- Asamoah (pepe / giovinco)

llorente (vucinic) ----------- Higuain (Giovinco)

Wow. That would be amazing. I love it. Just swap Higuain for Llorente and that's very realistic.

Tbh, Higuain is better with a striker next to him.
as a lone striker, llorente is better for the team.

He'll still score his goals tho, just not as much as with a two striker partnership
