my biggest worry about the cuadrado deal is that udinese will demand that we buy Isla's other half before they agree to selling us their half of Cuadrado, most likely meaning we will have to sell lichtsteiner. i hope i'm wrong but i wouldn't rule out that hypothesis
But it depends what they are doing with Cuadrado. If they don't want to buy his other half back then us taking his half is just as good as taking half of Isla no?

According to the sun, Juve is quite interested in Nani. They're rumored to be willing to offer 15m. It's a fair deal, though I have to admit I'd be massively dissappointed if Nani was to be our only signing in attack/wing. Nani and Ibra/Suarez however :klin:

Yea, anybody here, how would the Cuadardo deal work if we buy half his contract from Udine but can't agree with Fiorentina? Where does the player then play and how is his contract allocated?

yeah but as i said my feeling is that udinese will play hard ball and demand that we buy Isla outright rather than accepting our half of Isla in return for udinese's half of Cuadrado

Cuadrado to me is a player for Napoli. I like him but he's another "one speed" player like Isla or Krasic. Good in space, good in counterrattacks but when the game slows to a crawl I don't think he's the guy that will unlock a parked bus.

He has some fancy dribbles but loses the ball alot and even his passes are all of the same variety. To me, he has Krasic speed, Isla defending and Elia tricks but even if you combine all 3 of those players, you get a player that can only play one style.

He's a good attacking wingback in a 3-5-2 because he won't be asked to dribble in the box as much. Can focus on using great pace and workrate and he does have much better skill than Pepe or Licht. But I don't think the versatility that Conte covets is necessarily what he thinks it is. If he were to play in a 4-3-3, he would be more of a Pepe type winger than someone like Nani who still has pace but is still able to slow the ball right down on the edge of the box, draw defenders, make creative decisions.

Personally, I think we are past the point of buying the Cuadrados of the world.

If we buy Cuadrado than we might as well sell Isla and Pepe because he is better than Pepe in a 4-3-3 and Isla in a 3-5-2 but then we are really just spinning our wheels aren't we?

We need to be realistic, and hopefull at the same time. That means hope for what we DESERVE, but not be greedy and demand what is downright impossibru.

We can hope and demand, for 1 excellent offensive player. Not sure that happens, but it should. However, hoping for 2 premium quality players, cmon we all know we cannot pull this off financially, with out pathetic 250/260 mil turnover.

I expect marotta to get one of these : zlatan, suarez, draxler, isco. we are capable of the sacrifice.

If he gets : robben, nani. I wont be entirely happy, as the glass man is a liability, and nani is as consistant as vucinic. But i'm happy we finally made a move for a high profile player, that could aid our team at least 25% of the time. And i'll be happy we got llorente at least

If he gets shit, he'll be hung in his office by a mob of angry fans in september

Buffon(Storari)
Lichtsteiner(Isla)-Barzagli(Bonucci)-Chiellini(Caceres)-Coentrão(Peluso)
Vidal(Asamoah)-Pirlo(Pogba)-Marchisio(Giaccherini)
Nani(Pepe)-Llorente(Matri)-Vucinic(Giovinco)

In: Nani (18 million euros), Coentrão (27 million euros), 1/2 Asamoah (9 million euros), 1/2 Isla (9 million euros), Peluso (5 million euros)= 68 million euros

Out: Quagliarella, Padoin, Marrone, De Ceglie= ? euros, probably not more than 15 million for all of them.

With Pogba pushing for a starting spot over Pirlo or Marchisio.

I don't expect that to happen at all but that's all I wish for. It's the wish thread after all :D

1/2 asamuah and isla is alot more then 9 mil each ?

Contrao and nani, wages make this impossible, dont forget we allready have to add llorente.

Also llorente would work better with a scorer next to him. you put a targetman and 2 supports that dont score.

I can see us selling Lichtsteiner for 15M. Buying Cuadrado and Isla out from Udinese.

Cuadrado and Isla can easily switch to a 4-3-3 whereas Lichtsteiner can't. I'm not saying I'm fond of this deal, Licht is one my favourite Juve players.

GKs: Buffon, Storari
CBs: Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci, Marrone, Caceres
LB/LWB: Peluso, De Ceglie, Asamoah
RW/RWB: Cuadrado, Isla, Pepe, Padoin
CMs: Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Pogba, Poli, Giaccherini
LWs: Vucinic, Giovinco
CFs: Llorente, Matri

Confusing setup, I know but I can see it happening.
