They would as they rejected City too, who we know would've offered huge money.

They wanted to keep him at all costs, if the don't make Champions League this season, he'll go.
Maybe, we'll never know for sure, but I ain't buyin' that.

We'll see in the summer but IMO 28-30mln euro offer will get him moved instant. Viola is not in a position to refuse such an offer, because let's face it, mid-table teams don't get that much money like..ever.

LOL why do we even need Sneidjer especially at those wages he's currently at as well as taking the transfer fees into account.

Besides we would have to change the system to accommodate him in the lineup..Doesnt make sense at all.

What can I do... I'm a Secco.

Sneijder can play in both Pirlo's and Marchisio's roles. Pirlo isn't getting any younger and will not be able to feature regularly in the future. Wesley is only 28 years old and totally deserve his wages.

Just a thought. And btw, I don't think we need a new defender.

Winter: one of llorente & drogba, or both, and a defender...

imagine a lichtsteiner cross to drogba in the dying minutes and he scores with a powerfull header...

oh and i think drogba would actually net a lot of income from the sales of drogba jerseys...

Shakhtar Donetsk forward Willian admits he was keen to join Chelsea over the summer and is still hoping to move on at some stage.

The Brazil international attracted plenty of interest during the last transfer window, with a number of clubs in England reported to be chasing his signature.

Chelsea, in their pursuit of creative talent, led the hunt, but failed in their efforts to take the Samba star to Stamford Bridge.

Willian was disappointed to see Shakhtar block a deal, but understands why there were so keen to keep him and believes he will grace one of Europe's top divisions at some stage in the near future.

He told ESPN.com.br: "My goal is to play for a bigger club in a high level league."

On Chelsea, he said: "If I tell you that I was happy, I would be lying. My desire was there, with a €25million (£20.3m) offer from a big club like Chelsea. I wanted to pack my things and go, but I can't do that as I am under contract.

"It shows how much Shakhtar like me and shows that I am doing a good job, which is why they wanted me to stay.

"I have tried to convince them many times to let me go. I know that Juventus and Chelsea have made offers to buy me and that motivates me a lot.

"The club know that I want to leave, everyone knows that. The president has told me that he'll let me go for €30million (£24.4m) and my intention is to sign for a big club."

old offer made in the summer that was quickly rejected.

Are we not also linked to the current one? I recall seeing him on that Tuttosport list a week back.
yep, they refused our 6m offer.

Llorente & his representatives set for Juventus talks over the next few days. Conte wants him immediately in January
    :tuttosport:

forget him Nico. They won't sell to us. They hate our guts. The only way I see it happening is him doing a "Krasic". :p
