Prandelli somehow managed to control him and take the best he could offer. I wouldn't consider Mancini being good at anything, so no surprise he can't control and motivate him really. Balo just like Ibra imo - the older he will be the bigger benefit a club owning him will have.

But watch Balo be benched for life on our bench just for one stupid thing he'd do. Conte would have no mercy but salary would be high definitely.
He only had to manage him for 5-6 games in an International tournament, so the risk of one of his outbursts was minimal, as opposed to managing him throughout the course of a season.

Bottom line: Fuck Balotelli with a 20 foot steel rod. He's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is, and although talented, his talent isn't anywhere near the size of his ego and doesn't justify his negative attitude.

Balotelli could have been one of the best strikers in the world right now if he wasn't...crazy.

It seems that he goes into cycles: stable, psychopath, stable, psychopath...

If he were to calm down, mature a bit (hopefully with his new born he's forced to grow up) and start concentrating on football he could be a wonderful player one day and I'd want Juve to sign him, but until then he's a bit of gamble I'd say.

Anyways I can't see him ever coming here so no use in talking about it.

what exactly does balol has, that falcao or zlatan dont have ?
He's quicker.

Someone will probably take this the wrong way and think I'm saying he's level with them, no, everyone knows he underachieves for the ability and athleticism he has.

hard to know what he's capable of when he doesn't show it. a great goal here and there doesn't mean that much if there's no consistency.
You've pretty much said why he doesn't live up to what he's capable of, there is too much attitude.

If you want to know something close to what he is capable of, see the FA Cup final in 2011 or the game against Germany this summer.

so a couple good games mean that he's always capable of that? all players have games where they punch above their weight. it's like saying vucinic is capable of having games like the one he had against chelsea when he was with roma, all the time. but that's not true. some players just have great games once in a blue moon.

If you can perform at a certain level once, why not again?

Think Bierhoff, Schilacci, Rossi at the WC in 82. I'm not saying these guys aren't good players, but they had games where they clearly punched way above their weight.
Yeah, players can hit great form and not match up to that level again, others do. It happens a lot. I don't buy that you can do something one day then you aren't capable of doing it the next.

There is a reason Balotelli was breaking into a strong Inter side at 17/18 years old, and I've seen enough of him for club and country to know he has more talent than he's given credit for here. I think it is laughable that I have to point this out as well, and I'm becoming annoyingly repetitive because of you lot.

And @Huitz, I provided two examples, I hope I don't have to go through every game he has played. His brain clearly holds him back so much.

Easy there Tiger :D

I do recognize Balotelli does possess a lot of talent, but he lacks the control and mental balance to justify forking out close to $40 million on him. I'd rather have someone like Jovetic or Suarez any day of the week ;)

:p

I acknowledge his lack of control, and I can't really disagree with Beppe/Conte not bothering with someone so unstable. Shame those two are unlikely to be at Juve.
