imo we should forget about signing any top player from abroad anymore, pending special circumstances.

we need to do 2 things.

1- focus on the talent in the league: next year the club should go all out for cavani and jovetic

2- focus on developing youth. if we can't afford to play ball with the big boys, then invest in the youth system. we are signings hundreds if youth players, a couple every year or two are bound to be good enough to call up. look at barca. their 3 best players came from their youth academy

Yeah I agree. You could said I'm biased when it comes to our youngsters and I'm not being objective, but I love the fact we already have a few of our youth academy players in the first team. Marchisio turned out to be great, De Ceglie is a decent player also. I'm very impressed with Marrone who is getting better and better. The progress he's making is very impressive for me. Giovinco is all to prove it here but I think he'll do just fine, he's exactly what we need, I keep my fingers crossed for him. In the pre-season I really like that young guy who played RWB at times: Untersee (he got an assist against Benfica when crossed the ball to Krasic). The guy is just 18.

As for next year first thing I would do it would be bringing back Immobile. He deserves his chance and I don't understand why he's not with us right now. I think he's good enough to be a rotation player in attack it's not like we have some killers here. Imo he'd have a bigger chance of succeeding than Bendtner.

As for star players I can see only one available: Jovetic. Marotta is good making deals here in Italy and I don't think it's wrong. Serie A is a specific league so it's very good we take players from here, we just need to buy those who are the best. Honestly my dream would be selling two of: Quag, Matri, Bendtner (leave the best one) and bring back Immobile + getting Jovetic. But If Jovetic won't come it'd be ok, my bet is that after this season Luis Muriel will be a great player too.

I'm all in for the idea of promoting our young players. Pogba is also a very impressive player and he cost us almost nothing. This is how you make big deals. This year I wanted one of Jovetic, Dzeko, Higuain. Next year I don't expect us to spend big once again and it's good, as long us we bring in quality which has it's price too.

Call me cheap bastard, but I don't think you necessarily have to make these huge investments. Not even as a top club. They guarantee nothing and bring huge risks with them I personally wouldn't like to make in most cases.

I like smart deals such as the Vidal one, where you clearly get a good player for a reasonable price. The Martinez deal Bayern pulled, for example, was cack. We have to get Falcao before he goes to Porto, Cavani before making the Napoli move etc.

Many people here don't know about the financial part of the story Let me explain. Bayern don't borrow money or have a sugar daddy who infuses cash to make transfers. They make transfer money from the profits they earn each year after infamous income - expenditure process. The problem is that each time Bayern make profit and don't spend it German law takes about 40% of it as tax away. Bayern is one of the few clubs which isn't interested in a very positive balance sheet. They simply lose money Their revenue got a lot higher during the past 5 years therefore their profit is also bigger

So what do they do? They spend the money which would've been taxed by gouvernment into transfers and carry it on their balance sheet over the course of many years. For example, Gomez was bought for €33m. They spread his transfer costs with €8m per year on their balance sheet Needless to say Gomez transfer is already clear. As funny as it sounds, they needed to spend on a huge transfer target. Martinez' transfer costs will be spread on the balance sheet just like before to avoid taxing.

Next, although Martinez will earn 5m annually, taxes are as high as 40% in Germany. The real catalyzer behind the move is adidas. Martinez is an awesome advertising target. He's tall, good looking, already models and has a nice WAG. His image rights with adidas will land him more money than in Bilbao ever

Actually in my opinion there's miniscule difference between making cheap value for money transfers like you're saying to the Big Money "marketable" transfers.

Whilst i understand we are not in that position yet to make high-profile transfers ,its not convincing when you keep picking the cons in a high profile transfer just to suit ones argument..Actually i think it involves more pros than cons tbh.Provided the right marketing strategy we would not have to worry much about the sporting side of a big money transfer..Afterall a foundation has been laid ,the team is already magnificent overall apart from the attack ,just one high profile transfer would do a world of good considering all aspects and its definitely worth taking the risk.

Mind you ,Bayern are in a great financial position.Also they've made 2 cl finals in three years ,they've made a substantial profit in these past few years which has enabled them to splash money like they've done this year.

I'm not calling for Juventus to immediately enforce the issue regarding big-money transfers..We've just made it to the CL after two years ,we're still underdogs in Europe as of now.But atleast in 2-3 years time it should be a part of our transfer strategy as well.Football clubs are brands these days ,whatever you invest(i mean the big purchases)is going to bear the fruits with the right kind of marketing strategy which should be plausible(provided we make an impact in the CL in these next few years.)

Also regarding this Martinez transfer ,i'm sure as hell it wouldnt have been possible if Nerlinger still had been the director of their club.They bought in a Bayern legend Matthias Sammer and imo it was purely down to him..Not only did he pull of this incredibly tough deal but he got Javi Martinez to pay 10m off his own pocket.Just saying

well well, in that case then we have one of the worst brand amongst top clubs, sadly because of these scandals, if arsene wenger, as ignorant as he might be, could talk shit about us, how do you think others would think about? other fans could easily (and already always) called us cheaters and that image sadly strengthened with the 'facts' that is very unfortunately recorded in the official history the shit state of serie a today does not help it either.

I wish we fight back, but that's unfortunately quite impossible.

I am going to add one more player to my scouting list..Its Adrian of Atletico Madrid.Quality young forward with great technique imo(Not an out and out striker though ,he's more of a wide forward/SS which is why he doesnt have a great goal tally,still he did score 23 goals in all competitions though)..I'll make sure to watch a lot more of him this season.

He's cool. I was more impressed with their right winger Arda yesterday, that guy would be a huge improvement over Pepe.
