The point of ignoring something is not being interested in it. You asked: "who says we were actually interested" and I haven't seen anyone mentioning our interest.
Your post sounded more like that there was an actual possibility of signing him but juve chose not to.

Yeah, RVP is one of the worst forwards I've ever seen, too.
Contrary to Lewandowski he played more than one year in a serious competition.

We got an extra bag of money tonight (5-8m) because Udine failed to qualify, perhaps that unexpected cash will help up finalize on of the deals.

you would really get some people's hopes up by saying this :p :D

Why do we get money?
CL money man.

It was supposed to be divided b/w 3 teams. Now that Udinese is out the money will be divided only b/w Milan and us.

It'a true actually. A part of the total prize money of the champion's league is allocated to so-called country pools. All italian teams that succeed to qualify for the cl get part of that pool. Now that udinese are out juve and milan will split it, instead of sharing with udinese. But the money won't be distributed before summer 2013.

Either we sign a top player or we sign no one. I've been hearing all summer about Van Persie, Cavani, Jovetic, Dzeko, Llorente etc and now there are stories about Remy, Cardozo, and other mediocre players. Are we that desperate?
