So guys & gals I wanted to ask your opinion on something, this Summer is going somewhat the way of last Summer and I think it will end as so. I think you all know what I'm talking about.... The so called top player.

Last Summer, I think we could've got Aguero but it came down to getting numerous good players instead of one very good player. In the end it worked very well and I'm glad we bought the players we did.

This Summer is going the same way, Isla, Asamoah and Giovinco brought in so far, I think we'll end with Destro & a CB too. For me this would be a very good mercato and once again the best in Italy by far.

Are you guys happy with that or would you prefer to skip those players and sign one top player and a few free players as the Summer of Diego & Melo showed.

Please discuss.
Merged with the main thread. There's no reason that this is a separate topic.

And as if you needed more evidence of that, a new thread with the title of "A thought........" should say something right there.

I love you, Nick, but this is hardly original thinking to devote a separate thread.

Alberto Masi who mark mention on twitter, seems close or done deal to Juve in co-ownership with Pro Vercelli, but will stay there and play in serie B .

You may not know this face. Odds are you will soon.

At 19 years old, Alberto Masi is one of the hottest young defensive prospects in Italy. A member of Sampdoria's youth squad, he was loaned out to Serie C side Pro Vercelli this year. He is being referred to as the "new Nesta."

Several top-tier teams are scouting the teenager. Atalanta and Arsenal are two of the teams that have inquired into his services, and he could soon join Ogbonna and Inter's Andrea Ranocchia as the next generation of Italy's defense.

Expect him to stay in Italy.

So , no top class striker said by officials or just rumours ?
I think it's important to get one both for the scoring rate and team's improvent but also for our status and the statement that we are back with full force.

This is the wishlist and general mercato talk thread, and I don't think it's any surprise or mystery that Juve talked about at least one big signing. Hence why I didn't see this as breaking news or somehow original and hence completely separate from this thread. But if you guys prefer that separately, sure -- we can do that. It will be hard to undo the merge, unfortunately.

But should anyone try to post something with a more thoughtful and descriptive thread title than "A thought........", I'll promise not to merge it next time. ;) There's a lot of thoughts around here. Just not all of them deserve a separate thread.

We definatly need to sign a great strike our squad is already solid and we have good backups all we need to complete the puzzle is a striker. Please dont forget how much we needed one last season with the amount of chances we were creating wth a top striker we would of won the league months before we actually did.

Dzeko should be the minimum maybe a Damaio, Giroud or Lewandowsk but they would be a gamble. Destro is no where near good enough yet.

A player can be a great striker without being a big name.
And a player can be shit and have a big name all i know is we need a great player i dont care about the name i hope we gamble on a prospect or go all out please no more Matri or Quag level players who we know will be good but never great.
