Imagine if Pirlo had Messi and Iniesta on his team. Xavi makes fantastic passes, but I think after seeing Pirlo this season, not only is his vision unmatched, his awareness is miles ahead of any player I've seen in recent memory, save the other #21.

Xavi vision is better, Pirlo tries riskier and more difficult passes but he doesn't always successed.

No way bro. To take those risks, and to be able to even see those passes you need vision. Xavi is surrounded by movement all around him. In a set up like that your passes are more likely going to end up accurate. No other team plays Barca's style of football, so Pirlo doing what he does has a harder task and is just as successful.

You'd never know, unless Juve buys Messi :snoop:

Xavi has more vision and more precise in his passes. Pirlo is better in long range passes and tries to makes some difficult passes.

This year Pirlo has been better as this was one of Xavi worst years, but for the last 4/5 years Xavi was better easily.
Agreed on all counts.

But hey, just one week ago, you saw how a few posters here were arguing that C.Zanetti was a better passer of the ball than Xavi, so i guess this debate is a positive improvement, at least these two players are comparable :D

I'm not talking about his form at all. His last season at Milan, I thought he was past it. My point was, if I were to chose between Xavi and Pirlo, assuming both are in form, I'd pick Pirlo over Xavi any day of the week and twice on weekends :D
Of course you would, refer to my previous posts for why :D
