Yes. In the past 5 years Xavi has been better. But in the last year Pirlo has been. Xavi has, for the past 7 years, played alongside world class players in Barca. He is part of their succes but it's also down to a lot of other players.. Pirlo on the other hand has been rated more on his own results rather then the teams' overall. Anyone playing for Barca will look top class...
Take Bojan for an example - hottest striking prospect when he was in Barca? What is he now??

I'm not talking about his form at all. His last season at Milan, I thought he was past it. My point was, if I were to chose between Xavi and Pirlo, assuming both are in form, I'd pick Pirlo over Xavi any day of the week and twice on weekends

He was playing with old and static players. How can a playmaker be effective when there is no movement?

Xavi has more vision and more precise in his passes. Pirlo is better in long range passes and tries to makes some difficult passes.

This year Pirlo has been better as this was one of Xavi worst years, but for the last 4/5 years Xavi was better easily.
