Nah he's not that short, but if you don't know what AFL is it is a very physical game and bigger stronger players generally do better. He's probably like 5'7/5'8.
Yeah excactly it pisses me off so much if your'e not a tall slender bogen they don't draft you and they choose your body type over skill most of the time. I am that height as well and never got a look in at the draft mainly because I was injured and played soccer during the crucial years but still lol Ive played with and against alot of guys that got drafted and most of them weren't that great as juniors but had the body type and just persisted with footy and made it as professionals

Yeah exactly, he's Italian and they always said he had a lot of skill because only up until a couple of years ago he still was playing 'soccer'. Anyway I'm not really a big fan of the sport and I don't really care about it that much.

You two shut up! None of you will be playing for Juve next season. So go Ahead and PM each other!

I say Yes to Isla. And Madvillain? You really think Juve will sell giovinco's other half for 7m? Wake up, he is so coming back to JUVE!

Giovinco should come back.We need somebody to rotate with the often lazy and inconsistent Vucinic. We need to bolster our creative options upfront and Gio is the cheapest option out there.

Different sport :sergio:

Yes, your sheer love for him blinds you. If that piece of shit told you to jump off a cliff you would do it.

I think that Gazetta report is BS anyway.

Mourinho wants Isla and RM are ready to offer 15-20m euros for him.I guess this seems more legit going by how Udinese milk money of their prized assets.

This news is too good to be true.18m for two almost world class players.I saw this report on Tuttomercato as well and i thought it must be just pure speculation. Now Gazetta is reporting as well, dunno if i can believe it or not.

Ok if it happened, talking about where would Isla fit in the team ..In a 4-3-3 if i were the coach i would use him as my RW.He is a massive upgrade over Pepe in that position.Better dribbler and crosser and gets into goalscoring positions too.In a 3-5-2 though i would use him as my RWB as Licht has somewhat found difficulty playing in that position. In any case of injuries i would use him as CM.He was basically playing RCM the whole season until he got injured thanks to @#$%ing Ambrosini.

With the addition of a player like Isla ,think about it, we would press the sh#t of any team even Barca. These Chilean players(Isla,Vidal) are amazing pressers of the ball. For 18m this looks like the deal of the century but we have to wait and see.
That's what I was just thinking. If were to sign Isla, surely he could be played in Pepe's position? I've not seen a lot of him but I get the impression that his dribbling and crossing/passing are both better than Pepe, and he would have the instincts to track back (as a natural WB) that we crave so much in our RW when playing 4-3-3. Can he not also play on the left? Or is that something which my brain has completely made up? If he can play on the left as well then frankly I think he should be our number 1 priority alongside a better finisher.

Having him as a wingback in our 3-5-2 would also add more of a predatory counter-attacking instinct, which would of course suit.....CAVANI!

Summer signings - Armero, Isla and Cavani anybody?

Buffon
Barza Bonucci Chiel
Licht March Pirlo Vidal Isla
Cavani Vucinic

Rumour circulating on tJ that Manure are willing to swap Nani with Marchisio. While I would absolutely be against the deal, we could in theory line up like this next season:

Vidal-Pirlo-Asamoah
Nani-Van Persie-Vucinic

Thoughts?

You never sell a player like Marchisio.

About Isla, I love the player. I think along with Vidal, he is the best player in the Chilean national team. I rate them both more than I do Sanchez. He would be a fantastic option, but I see him coming here as more than RWB. I think Conte is happy with the work Licht and Caceres have put in this season. The left is too imbalanced at this time to spend 18m on a player like Isla. All along we were in this deal for Asamoah and Armero. That quickly changed to Asamoah and Isla. Very hard to say what's really going on, especially with all the conflicting reports about their combined value of 18m, which is absolute bs.

Like I said, I absolutely wouldn't. His Juve roots are more important to me than any price tag a team can put on him. Definitely wouldn't sell him. I was just curious to know what people think of the team if the deal hypothetically went thru.
