Marrone is a surplus now that we've signed Pogba. He is a top player but Conte will keep giaccherini to replace principino and so Pogba will be Pirlo's sub. Would not let Marrone go a few weeks ago but that was before Pogba officially joined us and TBH I don't think Pogba would accept a loan after he just signed here. We're quite lucky he chose us since this boy has immense talent IMO.

I say we include Marrone in a Jovetic deal and if Viola request a co-ownership deal I say we do it. Even if he's a super talent we will find it hard to give him the chance once the season kicks off

I think Marrone will rotate and he'll even get some time as a CB. I think Conte would want to keep him.

Maybe he'll get some time on the pitch, but it won't be much, and I don't think the right thing would be to keep him. He's young and he needs a lot of playing time. We need to loan him out.

It's a possibility... What I say is basicly that Viola wants him and if we have to use him in order to get Jovetic I say we should do it - not that Marrone isn't useful or anything, it's simply a choice we could be forced to make if we're serious about Jojo..

I think if Bonucci will be out, we should try to sign Vidic. He's in his 30's now but I still think he has some quality years in him.

Phil Jones and Chris Smalling breaking through, SAF knows if he wants to get some decent money for Vidic, the time is now.
I suggested Vidic back a couple of months ago for just those reasons.

However, I haven't brought him up again because it is increasingly apparent that Juve - contrary to what I thought at the end of last season - are planning to focus on 3-5-2 in the coming year.

I don't see Vidic - particularly aging Vidic - being at home in any role in a back three.

How is Vidic's athleticism these days?

Well, the reason I like Agger a lot is because he's very good with the ball, and I really think we need that in a 3-man defense (especially without Bonucci). Skrtel would be nice as well, but I think Agger would be a better fit.

:agree:

Agger would be an really good option as a Bonucci upgrade.

He's good enough that I'd take the gamble on him being over his injuries.

When they get rid of Kolo, they prolly wanna sign him(Lescott as excellent backup), and yeah that would be a ridicolous pairing. Hart would have it very easy and comforting to play it short to them all the time.

Until Agger gets injured. Which he will.

Always been a big fan of Agger. I've no doubt that if he came here he'd be one of our best players. I'd definitely take the injury risk because the positives of him being here would be outweigh the negatives by a LOT.
