It doesn't take a lot of intelligence to comprehend that what we missed is a finisher since we create tons of chances and have a shitty conversion rate. Getting a fancy SS to make you cream in your pants makes no sense whatsoever.

I'm sorry man, but you still fail to understand where I'm coming from. Guys like Jovetic and Suarez are amazing players, and if presented with a chance to acquire them, you don't hesitate. They can adjust and adapt, and with them on board we will be creating even more chances, and I'm confident they can be transformed into more clinical finishers. Look at RVP earlier in his career, Henry when he started out, etc...

Platini wasn't a striker before he came to Juventus, and yet he outscored all our strikers on 3 different occasions to win the scoring crown. I see shades of Platini in Jovetic; that elegance, that movement. He could be the flag bearer for this team for years to come.

My ideal striker would be Cavani or Higuain, and since both are unavailable this mercato, we should get Jovetic now, and concentrate all our efforts on Cavani or Higuain next season. I'm not saying to discard the CF signing; I'm merely saying to wait until an even better opportunity arrives.

As for Dzeko, he'll always be available, at least for the coming 2-3 years, as I don't see anyone else in Serie A affording him, I don't see him moving to Spain, and I doubt Barca or Madrid need him.

We will next season Zac (a good showing in the CL, getting rid of more of our dead weight) and if we can't, we could always go for Dzeko then.

Bro. I never said I didn't want Dzeko. However, I'd take Dzeko only if we can't get Cavani or Higuain, and after we get Jovetic. I sincerely believe we can get Dzeko on a loan with obligation to buy if we push hard for it. However, if City don't sign RVP, I don't see it happening this season either.

I wonder why so many people here suppose this mercato to be satisfactory. IMHo first and foremost we had to strengthen two positions - left winger back and center forward. Neither has been done by the moment.
In what place our squad became stronger? Will we have a chance to see first team football from Pogba? Do u believe Lucio stop making mistakes? If Guidolin thinks Dushan Basta is better than Isla so how can he be a starter for us? The best transfer so far Asamoah Kwadwo but he is still inferior to Vidal and Marchisio. Giovinco? We just paid that crazy sum of money to Parma for our own previous mistake of co-own.
So our main hope remains with Pirlo, Vucinich, Chiellini and Buffon. Marotta should work harder. I don't even mention that our selling ability iis nothing but awful..

It really hurts me when people accuse us of match fixing and people comment how we cheat and are "always involved in scandals," as my friend said to me yesterday. I get very defensive and then my friends make fun of me

I pretty much agree with everything you said but have faith we are only in July.

What worrys me most is players being put off joining us because of the latest scandal in Italy and the chance of us losing our coach for a while.

But was it a necessity transfer ?In my opinion absolutely not but he's still a quality versatile player nonetheless and i'm sure would do well with us.
