I'd add Lisandro López to that list, I know not many would agree on him around here. But he's my favorite No. 9 player at the moment.

I'm somewhat sceptic about Cavani to be honest, he's been in a great form for the past two seasons for Napoli but I've got that odd feeling that it's just that (great form period). Looking at his stats with Palermo and national team, it's not really that impressive....
Cavani just turned 25 a few weeks ago. You cant really judge him on his time at Palermo when he was young and getting used to serie A and for his national team he would often have to play second fiddle to Forlan or Suarez. He has proven his quality at Napoli and at the highest level while playing in the CL.

I think he will be a hit wherever he goes. I just dont think it will be here.

I think we are jumping the gun on Cavani tbh. I think Suarez will have a greater impact in our team. He adds a few more facets than Cavani would especially with his ability to play RWf in our preferred formation. I also agree with the analysis :eek:nly-Juve: just made, its still too early to judge Cavani, and to put him in the league of guys like Ibra and Drogba is just :sergio: I like him, and I'm a fan, but personally I don't want us to break the bank for him if we can get somebody like Suarez for less.

It reminds me of when we got back into the Champions League and we bought Diego and Melo for 50 million. I think we'll see something similar this summer but with better players.

He played mostly out wide at Palermo.

Not even better players, just a better strategy. Don't completely adjust the squad if you cannot bring in the appropriate personnel.
