“We will sign players who perhaps might not hit headlines with their names, but who will be useful for the style of football our Coach plays.”
Lavezzi’s buy-out clause is €31m, which is the right price for Russian or English buyers. It is in any case premature for papers to focus attention on one or two transfer targets.”

:shocked::shocked2: :shocked:
I like it , we are keeping a low profile , last year everybody was complaining because he was talking to much and saying all our deals to the media now he is talking less and hopefully working more

Are you trying to tell me Suarez-Matri-Vucinic isn't a formidable trio? I would replace the RWF before replacing Matri. And say what you will, but Matri is a better player than he's being made out to be. He's clinical enough to be given a shot in this line up. and if you think Gilardino is better than him, then you must give up cannabis.
Yes it is not . Matri is a worst player that he is made out to be . Gilardino through his career has always been a more profiilic scorer than matri is and matri in a squad that produces this much has only scored the miserable number of 10 goals , if trezeguet was in this juve he would have easily scored 30 maybe 40 goals . Matri should have at least gone over the 20 barrier . He doesn't have the killer instict in front of goal , doesn't posses a great header , doesn't have good tecnique . I don't understand what we are talking about here . Just in the last game he wasted 2 clear chances , in the genoa match that ended 0-0 with a lot of chances he wasted 2 other chances and he has wasted a lot of other ones . To add he is not a player that creates his own goals , the only goal i remember he created for himself is the udinese goal and even in that case the defender took a big nap .

I fear he will disappoint and fail to deliver yet again. If we don't sign a quality (and by quality I mean real quality, not Marotta standard like the Elias, Farfans, and Giacherrinis of this world) striker and/or RWF, we are not going anywhere. We might compete, but we will most likely end up empty handed, especially if we have to juggle between 2 competitions.

Quality wins you titles/championships.

I think that Chelsea will go for proven superstars rather than talented youngsters this summer.
Wouldn't be so sure about that.

With them having an aging squad and a huge wage bill (with FFP), they may want to kill two birds with one stone and get in some first class youngsters like Jovetic.

Brings down the age of the squad and will accept lower wages than proven stars.

“Farfan on the other hand declined a 5,2m € offer of Schalke 04 and will cost at least 6m € per year, possibly up to 7m €”
Before or after tax?

If he is looking for 6m per year before tax i.e. ~3m per year in his pocket, that isn't an unreasonable demand.

If he's looking for 6m after tax then he's talking the wages of an absolutely top class player and he's not worth that.

i doubt that we will sign a 30mil striker. so no higuain dzeko suarez lavezzi. jojo could be in our reach but i guess rossi could be an option also.

After tax, Buffon is on around €6m, to make a comparison there.

We have a few wide players that fill out the team, depends on the money spent on a forward possibly. I think he's alright.

I thought buffon got 5 mil per year , after tax 10 mil . Still he is really not worth the money for what he gives . With that he would become the highest paid player in our squad .
