I would rather not spend money or energy on Farfan. Literally the black Pepe.

U mad. Farfan the black Pepe? The only similarity they share is their position.

Farfan, is much faster than Pepe, he's isn't someone who crosses the ball often like Pepe and his game is more about beating his man.

Having said that, he isn't what we need at the moment. He's got problems with discipline.

I doubt there's any truth in this cos recently I read he asks for a huge salary.

All this hassle for nothing, its easier than it seems:
Fiorentina always own us in the transfer market, so after the Melo 25 mil lesson, we might be more careful this time.
Napoli is doing better than us with consistency and want to keep their 3 main players, cause they have ambition, Lavezzi, Cavani and Hamsik, all declare pleased there, they will ask earth and water for making this happen, at this case, it would be easier to get an Aguero/Higuain...
So, keep it real. Conte stays, he will need forwards, wont need wingers, Krasic and Elia will be loaned or sold.
Iaq will be back and if he does, we will have to send away Quaq (hopefully not), DP will be expelled. Matri will extend and wont make issues to stay as a squad player, if we find someone, we wont keep Borriello.
IMO the only way to keep Borriello is to chase an unrealistic dream, like you guys are wishing, and end up like we always end up when Marotta, the one eye hound is our scouter...

There is a reason that we opted for Borriello, among all those serie A forwards we could have loaned, there is a reason why Conte keeps giving him a chance, there is a reason why he was given a chance in almost all the big Italian teams,
i dont have to mention it again, its painfully obvious.
So God forbid we end with him, we should opt for a realistic choice.
The primary need of our, is someone who can complement our current options, they are all decent SSs, but almost all lack finishing, not even Matri is as clinical as we hoped.
The player who is available, could be tempted by us, is affordable, has an affordable salary, has the right nationality and can score with ease, the chance we are keep wasting is Rossi, live with it, its bound to happen and the alternative is someone like Borriello.
We dont really want a higher profile forward, the rest are mere semantics for the fans, but after 7 years of taking fool of you, you should know better than that know!
Stop fapping with players that would join the old Juve, she is no more... now we have other priorities and even less prestige and authority.

I believe that we will have about 40-50 mil, if we manage to sell smth properly, for a change.
If the CF takes away the 20 its about 20-30 mil left for 3-4 more players.
Marotta always opts for quantity over quality, he is that kind of a guy, always was, always will be, even if he wants and struggle, he just cant buy the top players you are dreaming of, he just cant, never did, never will.
With lets say 25mil, we cant do miracles.
Lets say about 10-15 for a new CM, as we always buy a new CM, each and every year, in each and every transfer window, sometimes, we just loan them though, or sign free players, hopefully this time, we wont invest much, as the starter spots are full. Spending more than 10mil for yet another CM, is major BS IMhO, we better as well bring back Melo, cause seriously, we cant find a Melo quality with 10mil or free.
As for SS, imo we dont need another, we have enough and all of our forwards can help in a SS role, even the ol fighter Iaq, but none of them can be a prolific finisher.
So we better spend less for the SS and now seriously, tell us a value for money SS, who will cost us Giovinco's half and offer the same quality? Esp if we have to pick an Italian...

IMO if we buy one of those two, we will have decent money to buy a proper starter.
As Gio can play both sides, can cover a more center role and cost way cheaper and in any case, is of lower risk as we already have an adequate options on Vucinic and Quaq.
We should rather invest the money on the player we need the most and dont have, the finisher.

As for the rest of the 10-15mil, we really need them to replace Bonucci, there is no doubt now that he is not Juve material, at least not until he turns 30, were the CBs age as wine.
For this place, its important not to buy an Italian, as Italy lacks this quality in the current generation.
Thats all...

Farfan?

He's okay.

Lot's of pace, quite direct, more of an eye for goal than Pepe has, more likely to beat his man one-on-one.

Not a bad compromise between Pepe's workrate and getting in a more creative player.

Would he be suited to Serie A, with it allowing significantly less space for attackers than the Budesliga?

Wouldn't be a bad signing on a free if Juve made signings in other areas that really improved the overall level of the team.

Far fan for some reason he strikes me more as a Roma player. He's not a considerable upgrade over Pepe. He's faster, got a great short burst of speed, but nowhere near half as adept as Pepe in covering the length of the pitch. Also, coming from Germany, he's definitely not the best option for Conte's 433 setup. While he'd be greta going forward, he'd create the same predicament Krasic does. Although he's a bit more of a hustler than Krasic. A good purchase for free, but in a CL season, you need more than Farfan. A lot more.

Nesta, Montolivo, Farfan, Torres/Dzeko (on loan)

= 0$ spent in the transfer window.

And each of those acquisitions would actually help the team.
