Oh so in your books...
A striker who we spent with Vucinic of 18m with only 5 goals right now is good enough?
Flop Borriello is good enough for this squad?
Quags who still hasn't found any space and yet has failed to regain is form?
Matri who's our only top goalscorer and yet only has 10 goals?

Media hype if completely irrelavent, what hypes these players are their performances and stats.
Cavani already has close to 20 goals to his name.
Damiao has 30 goals in Brazil.

In the past, Juve were winning games because the whole squad was scoring goals, from Marchisio, to Pepe, to Giaccherini and so on.. however, these players wont always score and they cant be depended on to do it. Its the strikers job, and sadly most of them are not getting the job done. We've drawn 4 in a row before the Fiorentina fixture BECAUSE we were not able to finish.. Why's that? Well because our strikers don't compare and this summer we need one.

It's reality, I love our strikers(except for Borriello), however enough with being so caught up with love when there's obviosly something wrong and it needs to be fixed.

I don't know why but something about Higuain suits Juventus
I think his cost would be too much given PSG and Man City's interest. The but there are top level goal scorers Juventus could afford I think on our return to the CL:
Berbatov
Villa
Tevez
Rossi

are players who we could acquire at a fair price given their quality. I would take any of them. Could u imagine

Vucinic--Villa--Pepe compared to Matri as our starter!

Rather then break the bank on Higuain I would much rather we signed some one cheaper and bought someone to compete with Pepe for a starting spot. Like if we could get Berba and then sgo all out on Nani or Nasri ... we would be alot better then just with Higuian. I assume we will have a good amount of money considering we are making the CL and will probably sell Krasic.

For sure but I can't see De Laurentiis selling him to us, unless we put in an outrageous bid of over 40 million euros, which obviously won't happen.
Absolutely worth it!! I wouldn't even have a second though on giving 40mil for Cavani! A mercato with ONLY Cavani as our signing is a great mercato!

We should put 70 m bid for Lavezzi+Cavani, something they'll think twice before rejecting. Having these two will make us pouring goals next season.

Why bidding 70 mln for them when we can try to get Higuain for half (which will be more than good enough for our attack) and allocate the rest of that amount to strengthen other areas?

I don't think we'd go for Higuain either though, we'll most probably see Alex' heir in Rossi and will bring a 15m midfielder, a back up defender and that's about it.

Cavani and Lavezzi are special because they're known as goal threats in Serie A in the last two years. Moreover they've worked together for almost two seasons---that makes them more valuable. Look at our attackers, we have at least three forwards who are all very good but they can't seem work together as nicely as expected.

Don't get me wrong, Lavezzi or Cavani for 40 m a piece is too much price for me but having them in the same field is worth the money. It's more like buying a system that works than buying two very good players.

I think Higuaín and Juventus fits perfectly.

I think 70m sounds like a lot for Juventus, so would agree.

70 is too much, and too risky. Even though both of them are worth it.

Unless we sell Vucinic, Quag and others to reduce the heavy hit? It's unlikely we're going to sell these two though (unfortunately)

If we sell Quag, Melo, Krasic and Elia we should get close to 40m euro. We also have some other dead weight to loose..

If we offer 70m for Lavezzi and Cavani it would be 30m euro. Totally worth it. Plus we should sign Kolarov and get Giovinco back. That would be a good enough mercato for me.

Vucinic
Matri
Quag
Torres/Higuain
Giovinco

What if we end up with a strike force that looks like that? Do people consider that to be good enough for a run in the league and Europe?! I'm trying pre-empt bare bone Matrotta's strategy here. If we are indeed looking at a Hernanes type CM, then Giovinco is probably in Conte's plans up front along with a marquee striker only. In which case we might choose to retain Vucinic, Matri and Quag, while letting go of Iaq, Borriello and the great one.

I still want JoJo. Break the bank for him and loan Torres or something like that. If we miss JoJo now, we will never get him.

And yes, I know that we would really need a scoring machine.
