I suppose you work on the board, don't you? Conte said he wanted a one World Class purchase, and one promising prospect with superstar potential. Rossi doesn't fit either category; the coach wanted guys like Nani, Sanchez, and Aguero last summer, but we couldn't compete, largely due to the fact that we were coming off another disastrous season, and had no CL. A lot of big players were unsure which direction we were heading in. Hopefully now, with Conte as coach, and a potential double at the end of the season, and CL next season, we can attract that one big game player, and the supporting prospect that Conte has asked for.

Rossi doesn't fall into either category. He is no longer a prospect, and he is definitely not World Class. I'll trust Conte more than your BS fabrications any day of the week. As for unrealsitic suggestions, I'll wait for the market to decide that, not some waffle eating Belgian behind a screen who couldn't even watch a Juventus game cuz he was too busy shagging his gf.
Conte can wish all he want, in the end its the board that decides wether we can support the cost or not.
If we'd get Rossi, watch him say he's worldclass potential.

also, i dont eat waffles, i prefer pussy
and from the anger in the reply and general depression you are, i assume its quite alot more then you get

Waffles are good though. I'm not angry at all, just pissed at all this Rossi talk. I genuinely dislike the player, and don't want him here, certainly not as our star signing. I'm sure Conte has spoken to the board, and hence he can make such statements. As I said, I trust his judgement and assessment of the situation more than yours. He most definitely knows about the internal workings of the club more than you.

I'm not so sure about you getting more, but you can choose to believe whatever you desire :p

I'm not sure about the orgin of those statements, especially since conte also said, that a reknown player, isnt neccecarely better then an unknown player, when he was referring to giaccherini.

i do think 25mil+sales is a pretty correct number, and technically allows for plenty of options

I'd like to think it's closer to 40 + player sales, but I could be wrong. As it stands, the summer mercato is still months away, so anything you or I claim/state at this point is mere/pure speculation.

Regarding renowned players, no one wins without champions. Conte played with a bunch of them, so I'm sure he knows the value of having someone like Zidane, Davids, Deschamps, Nedved, Trez, and of course a DP in his prime. You might get lucky and win a title, but quality shines through in the end. Big players = titles.

Forza Rossi.

So if we got Jovetic/Suarez/etc + Rossi, none of you would be upset?

Because if you still are - that's just pure bias hatred.

In that case, so be it. However, I'd still look at someone else before Rossi. I dislike Rossi, but if he comes as a complement, we could do far worse than that cunt of an undercooked greasy meatball.

@Zac: google Blue Waffles and you shall see for yourself; it's quite disturbing really :D

I don't mind if Rossi comes as long as he is not the marquee attack signing.

That's exactly what I said :p However, I'd still prefer a surprise signing (a promising player like Ramirez, Eriksen, etc...).

I wish we'd gone for Shaqiri; the kid is effin cheap, and he ended up being at Bayern. I'd love Gotze here, but I don't think it'd be possible to get him, at least not this summer. Let's hope Dortmund are ambitious, manage to hold onto him one more season, and he can be our sensational signing in 2013 :D

B81, this is completely irrelevant, random and off-topic but were you born in Thailand? Or have you moved there?
I was born in Egypt to Egyptian parents of Turkish (dad) and Italian (mom) descent. I have lived in Yugoslavia (before the war), Singapore, Cyprus, Egypt, and currently reside in Bangkok.

Shaqiri is meh. Higuain and Ramirez would be awesome.

I promise you I have hair now :p

My biceps aren't quite as big as his, even though I am quite buff and work out 5-6 times a week
Did you compare? :p

Some members think Ramirez is over-hyped. I personally think he will excel; he has the skills, the talent, the physique, and the temperament. Sergio also seems to rate him; Sergio also rates Gotze very highly, and loves Baggio. Hence, in Serge I trust :delpiero:

Ramirez looks a lot more promising than jewvinco did 3-5 years ago.

I haven't really seen Ramirez much.

How much do you think he is worth and what player would you compare him to?
€8m-12m and not really sure who I'd compare him to.

Bologna wanted 15 Million last time out. I'd say he'd go for around 12. He's similar to Giovinco in terms of style, but much taller and stronger. I believe he can play on both flanks, as I've seen him deployed on the right on a couple of occasions (or maybe he was given a free role by the coach in those particular games).
