29 year old players are not old ffs. That being said, i've watched RVP for more than 5 years because i like watching Arsenal but i agree that he is way too injury-prone to be worth 35m just because he has one amazing season.

Anything above 23 is old.

-"The 'tuz gurus."
it is old if you spend 35 milion on them unless his name is pavel nedved
spending money on a player is an investment you spend 35 mil but when his contract end you cannot gain anything from the player
if you buy someone who is 26 for 30 after 3 years you sell him for the same price
i am not saying that you should never spend on 29 years old there should be experienced players on the pitch always but not at our current situation spending for a 29 years old who is really injury prone is bad

De Rossi agrees to 'early' clause?
By Football Italia staff

There are reports Daniele De Rossi could sign a five-year contract with Roma worth €6m per season, but it has an unusual buy-out clause.

The ‘Future Captain’ has been at the centre of renegotiations for many months now and his current deal expires in June.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the club is edging closer to an agreement with De Rossi and his entourage.

The 28-year-old is ready to sign a five-year contract worth €6m per season, but it has an unusual buy-out clause.

The figure of the buy-out clause is not that steep, placed at around €15m, but it would have to be exercised a month before the end of the season.

This would allow Roma plenty of time to find a suitable replacement should De Rossi decide to move on.

'If Cavani offers arrived...'
By Football Italia staff

Edinson Cavani is overjoyed at his 51st goal in a Napoli jersey, but at the same time his agent is open to an exit. “If an offer were to arrive...”

The Uruguayan bagged a brace in last night’s 2-0 Coppa Italia quarter-final victory over Inter.

“Having overcome 50 goals for Napoli is a big deal,” representative Claudio Anellucci told Radio CRC.

“The most important thing, though, is that the team won. I had not the slightest doubt Cavani would score that penalty at the San Paolo, despite his miss against Siena at the weekend. There was a truly wonderful atmosphere in the stadium.”

However, Anellucci has repeatedly hinted that Cavani could well move on to a bigger international club in future, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City all mentioned.

“If an offer were to arrive, then Napoli would evaluate them. I don’t like talking about the transfer market right now, though...”

This would be a great buy. Like I predicted this summer, they look like they will be missing on CL next year, and possibly EL? Regardless, their season last year was a fluke, we should make an offer. they will need to sell some players.

I seriously think that if Napoli continue on this mediocrity course, they will sell one of Lavezzi or Cavani and possibly Hamsik with one to rebuild their disaster season.

We need to be there with an open checkbook.

I don't believe they will sell all maybe one of the three. Napoli fans will riot
I doubt the 3 will want to wait another season for CL and not risk ever making it there again...they are reaching prime and could easily leave for a top club now...trust me, they will think twice about leaving.
