Finally, a defender, and a good one.
Amauri out, Caceras in, possibly a Belgian player at Juve, Roma demolished, Anderlecht leading the league with 9 points, football wise, things are going great for the two teams I support.

You think the price tag wasn't too high? Also you think Giorgio will stay at LB and Caceres to play at CB?

Which price tag? Nainggolan's or Caceras'?
If the rumoured 15MEuro for Nainggolan is true, then yes, I think that is too much.
The rumoured 1.5 loan + 8 million definitive fee is true for Caceras, then no, I don't think that is too much for him.
Also, take into account that it is the last week of the transfer deadline and that winter deals often are more expensive then summer deals, especially if you try to buy a starter from another team.
And I think it will be Licht - Barzagli - Chiellini - Caceras or Licht - Caceras - Chiellini - De Ceglie as most used options.

Most good backlines have 3 natural CBs anyway.

I hope this is our midfield next season:
Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Nainggolan, Guarin (maybe), Marrone, Appelt.

Foward line:
Matri, Quag, Vucinic, Ramirez, Damiao/Jovetic, Elia, Giacc/Esti, Pepe.

He's a lot better than that. Falcao went to atletico madrid ffs
At Atletico you get to play against the best teams in the world, Spain is a far more ambitious destination than Turkey. Plus, Falcao is not a promising talent, he is what he is. Shaqiri is supposed to be the next big thing, the fact that no big club is interested shows howwwww talented he is.

He was a nobody when he joined Galatasaray. only then did he get a call-up from his national team. I have nothing against Shaqiri, I haven't even seen him play but judging by people's posts here I thought he's more or less on par with Neymar, who I haven't ever seen play either but at least is followed by the likes of Barca, Real and Chelsea.

I'm not saying Turkish league can't introduce big players. They introduced Arda Turan after all, who is leading Atletico to winning the title, or a CL spot, or an EL spot, or helping them in avoiding relegation, whatever.

not sure about that, he just took a step up, and is merely 20

plenty of players do that

steven defour, could have gone to the epl, chose portugal cause more playing time, better development
wel, he is playing guarin out of the starting 11. he'll go to a bigger team when at the right time

so will shaqiri, he choose to play and develop rather then running the big risk of beeing benched
Portugal is not comparable to Turkey.

That shows how well you see talent, just like Marotta "seeeeee" "get it".....
I know you are not biased at all. I'm learning from you.

Barzagli has been very good this year.

I'm not really sure about this deal with Caceres. The guy is a fighter and runs alot, but other than that, he really aint that good. Bad cross, no ball control and not that good at marking. AND we will use him as a LB! :S

I hope Conte does something to him and he transforms to a very good player (somehow)..

Well, Caceres's ultimate asset is his versatility. I hope Conte makes him train hard on his crossing and man marking abilities. With him and Radja as our January acquisitions (once everything is finalized) I see it as being a successful winter mercato, offsetting the particularly meaningless and useless signing of Borriello.

In the summer, we need to recall Gio, get a classy quality RWF, an Ace WC striker, and possibly more cover @ CB (someone to challenge for the starting spot, and be used in rotation) and we are set.

I don't see Caceres as a player who is going to be doing much crossing, if he plays left back. It'll be a stereotypical strict defensive-attacking left side makeup with Vucinic and Marchisio more that side.

nono sell his half (same as a usual 1/8th). If we get Gaston, Jojo/Damiao, and one decent backup defender (position doesn't matter) we'll be pretty good for CL.

Buffon
Licht-Barza-Chiellini-Caceres
Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio
Gaston-Jojo-Vucinic

Bench: Storari, PDC, Radja, Marrone, Matri, Quag, DP :)xfinger:)

GK: Buffon, Storari, Leali, Branescu
RB: Licht, Caceres, Bonucci
CB: Chiellini, Barza, Caceres, Bonucci
LB: Caceres, De Ceglie, (Ziegler?)
CM: Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Radja, Marrone, Appelt, Giandonato
FW: Jovetic/Damiao, Vucinic, Gaston, Matri, Quagliarella, Vucinic, Del Piero :xfinger:, Immobile, (Pepe, Elia, Giacc, Esti - don't know about these guys)

Be quiet you peasant. Gio should come back  :touched: Your bench lacks balance. No CB's, no wingers, and 3 forwards?!
