Caceres should be our main priority. Not a CM.

Caceres + Nainggolan = Good transfer market.
Only Nainggolan = pointless

I know Nainggolan is a good player but we need a fullback much more than we need another CM. If Motta is off to Spain we have no RB to sub for Lichtsteiner. Caceres could sub in for either Licht or DC. Get him Marotta.

All of a sudden it seems we have no depth in midfield and defense particularly after Conte changed formation earlier in the season.

Currently we only have Lichsteiner, Motta, Barzagli, Chiellini, Bonucci, and De Ceglie after letting Sorensen go and Motta is clearly not good enough and Bonucci just keeps making mistakes and jeopardizing the team.

In the midfield 3 we have Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Marrone and Pazienza. Pazienza is being linked with a move away.

But we have sh*t loads of wingers: Estigarribia, Pepe, Krasic, Elia, and Giaccherini - not to mention Vucinic who is being used as a wide striker.

We have 6 wide players for 2 positions in the starting 11. 5 mids for 3 places in the starting 11 and 6 players for 4 places in the starting 11 where 2 of them are clearly not good enough.

Caceres is a great buy because he is very good and very versatile - it would be heaven if he could make the left back spot his own.

Key opportunity would be to get rid of both Elia and Krasic and bag 20m for the 2 of them and bring in a player who really makes a difference to the team. Not that I like Tevez, but a player like him is worth around 30m. Elia and Krasic are worth 20m.......pay an extra 10m and get a real champion.

I would also sell Bonucci! (He is worth around 8-10m)......get a proper defender like Hummels for 15m.

If it were me:

Buy Caceres for around 10m
Sell Bonucci for around 8m
Buy Hummels for around 15m.
Sell Motta for around 2-3m
Take loan of a promising full back from Serie B to make up the numbers.

Net spend on defense = 15m

Midfield:

Get Pizzaro (he is worth probably less than 5m on the transfer market - good vice Pirlo)
Keep Marrone.
Sell Krasic for around 12m
Sell Elia for around 8m
Buy a top class wide player like Nani, Malouda, Afellay etc for 25m.

Net spend on midfield = 10m

Get rid of Amauri and Iaquinta = won't get us much.

Total spend is 25m. Starting XI: Buffon, Lichsteiner, Barzagli, Chiellini, Caceres, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Nani (or similar class player), Matri, Vucinic. Bench: Storari, Hummels, Pizzaro, Marrone, Pepe, Quagliarella, Del Piero

Guarin, Caceres AND Nainggolan :tuttosport: I think my pants are going to explode soon. If we also get a LB and another very good foward we will go far in the CL. Maybe DC could even be our LB if he keeps up his form.

Buffon
Licht-Barza-Chiellini-Caceres
Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio
Gaston-Jovetic-Vucinic

Bench: Storari, De Ceglie, Guarin, Radja, Elia, Quagliarella, Matri

Reserves: Leali, Branescu, RB, Astori, Gabriel, Giandonato, Marrone, Pepe, Giacc, Pasquato, Immobile.

In = Guarin, Radja, Caceres, G.Ramirez, Jovetic, Leali, Astori (free)
.
Out = Motta, Amauri, Krasic, Esti, Toni, Pazienza, Grosso, Manninger, Midget cunt (giovinco), Iaquinta, Ekdal, Ziegler, Martinez, Melo, Borriello.

Remember, we have a 90 million dept according to Zac, so it's unrealistic to suggest such players. I'm still unaware why we have a department that costs us 90 million a year to run, but heck, what do I know?

In any case, no Rossi or Torres to lead the line.

If anything, modern football has proven that you don't need a tall target man/poacher to lead the line. Look @ Barca and Man. Utd. for example. The CL finalists from last year rely on pace, skill, and intricate passing.

One of Suarez/Van Persie/Jovetic and Ramirez/Ozil/Shaqiri, a backup CB in the summer, and we are set, provided we get a backup CM and LB this winter Mercato.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic but he means debt. Are we really 90 million in the red?
